Yeah, I too started checking out is videos and blog... but I gave in, I am now a student of Mr. Holtz, lol. I actually think his classes are very infomative, I do plan on taking Chem 102,. If anyone is on the fence about it, I would recommend it, there is a lot more that you learn other then just his techniques. Wish chem class was that interesting when I was in high school, many, many, many years ago, lol!BigGrin

If I didn't share this link already then here it is. The tag shown today, with tutorial, (numbers on background) is one of the techniques that we should be attempting with our TH supplies. And this gal (words and pictures blog) uses the brighter colors almost always.

Scroll thru this blog and you will find many examples of where they tend to start off doing what we see TH doing too.

My point being that there is room in this swap to follow your interests in other blogs, but still accomplish some TH techniques or products for this swap.

Not sure if I'm explaining what I mean......hopefully you understand and hopefully this blog will also give you some guidance too.

I absolutely love what she did with the corrugated cardboard. I need to find some of that antiquities rust embossing powder! But then she also listed all those colors of paints she painted on the corrugated cardboard too. SO I'm sure all those colors lended to the beautiful look of it.

It's such a pretty Fall piece of art!

Love the artistic stamper, there's a huge variety of styles, but yet all pretty much using timmy products... great inspiration, many ideas of what I would like to do. Can't wait to get started, I'm sure I will make many mistakes along the way, but at least I'll have fun making them.

I've tried so hard to stay away from this swap but I continually keep coming back to it. I have a good amount of Timmy products and took a Ranger Tag Technique class at a local scrapbook store several years ago. We made 50 tags using different techniques. I love watching his videos and checking out the latest and greatest products.

I would love to take his 102 class but I don't really want to take 101 to do so as I think I have already done most everything either on my ownorin the Tag Techniques. Oh well, I may have to bite the bullet.

Please sign me up

You don't have to take the class, just have to pay the money to get the code! lol

I quickly looked thru 101 class stuff and yes, I believe most of us here that swap are probably all experienced in that first class.

If you change your mind, I think prices go up soon....so you can save yourself some bucks by signing up for his class now instead of later.

It will be interesting to see what we all say come Oct 7th and those days following.

I don't even know how many classes I can join Live. I may just be logging in after the fact.

******

Glad to see you join this swap though! I think we will all benefit from this swap and then can probably do it again in a future round, with some changes to keep learning more.

I tend to look at this swap idea as something a little more advanced and a nice challenge.

I was as J's today and they got in some of his new line of material finally! I was excited to see that. It's so darn expensive though! Even on sale it's still pretty pricey! lol I can't wait to see some projects by his designers to see what all they are coming up with. [/quote]

Gwynne

I bought 10x10 squares in a pack of 8 for 8.00 from SSS on Ebay. I have not received them yet, but think I could piece then together and make PJ's for my Cricut. JAT

That person must have got a darn good price on the material, cuz it doesn't seem like they are making much profit off of their packs. But good for you to have found this buy!

Keep us posted when it comes.

Been lurkingDrool LOL Here is a blog that I came across when I was going through pinterest. She uses quite a bit of Timmy materials and some of techniques, but uses a brighter palate. She has some good tutorials on her blog as well. Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. http://www.marjiekemper.com/

I would like to join Gwynne. I checked out my Timmy stash today and was surprised at what I had accumulated. I ordered several stamps and paints on Joanns.com today since the shipping was free over $25. You should check it out.

I've assigned pairings for the first 10 gals to join this swap.

If any issues with pairings, please let me know ASAP! Thanks!

And I'm leaving this swap open for additional sign-ups thru the second half of October. I'm hoping that once other gals either get their Christmas Swaps taken care of or have taken his 102 class or have read up on it, that there will be more interest to join and start to practice on using Tim's techniques.
