Does anyone know if you can limit the search to just the carts you have and not have everything show up. I find I spend a huge amount of time looking through carts I don't have.

Sometimes it is nice to be able to see other carts that might have the image I'm looking for, but usually I'm looking for cuts on the carts I own, which are relatively few compared to the number of carts that are available.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Do you use CCR? If you do and ya have your cartirdges linked, then you can search in CCR and when the images pop up, there's a green icon next to the item that you have the cartridge of. I find it extremely helpful.

Oh trust me . . . we have thought about it! In fact, before we had the site done and ready for launch I told my husband I wanted that feature. Now remember, we are not some "big company" and the main brains behind the site is my husband . . . without his programming knowledge none of this would have happened . . . but there is another "level" to the programming to make the site work for people to set up an account and then save a list of which cartridges they own so that they can filter the search to just what they own.

Actually, I also wanted to make it so that you could attach pictures of projects you made to your user profile and then if others wanted to see what projects others made with the Create a Critter cartridge, even down to how they used images/cuts from a specific page, they could do that. It would have been really similar to Pinterest, but now that we have Pinterest I guess we don't need to think about that feature any more either.

The reason we have not added a "by user" filter to the site . . . the amount of time it would take to do this, we feel like we might need to charge people a fee ($5 per year for example) to be able to afford to maintain that kind of site. My husband does not think enough people would pay for that service to make it worth it for us to go to that level. Doing this type of programming is something he would have to do in the evenings or on the weekend, since he has a full time job.

He has told me that if we win the lottery we can take it to that level. Love

Thank you every one for your comments.

I don't use CCR and don't really have a desire to do so. Just something else I would have to spend way too much time to figure out and I'm not really into it.

If they ever did get the site to do this feature, I wouldn't want to have to pay for it either. Money is just too tight any more to spend on such extras. I guess it all comes down to how much you want to be able to do something as to what amount of time and what amount of cash you will spend.

I probably do have the time, just not the enthusiasm...lol. Definitely don't have the $$$!!

Guess I'll continue as in the past.

Thanks again to all!
