Blushing trying to make xmas decorations. layered project. using cardstock and glittered cardstock, have needle on 3 and pressure on medium. not cutting, just ripping paper. what should I do.

You should probably set your blade to 6 since you are using glitter cardstock. See if that helps. Good Luck! BigGrin

If you own a Xyron sticker maker, you can cut out the image on regular cardstock, then flip the image over so the front is face down and run it through your sticker maker. You peel off the backing paper and sprinkle the sticky side with glitter. I have done this many times and no one knows I did not use glitter paper. Also, I had some silver glitter paper, but it was thicker than cardstock. I switched to my deep cut blade, set it at 4 and did a multi cut. The image came out crisp and cleanly cut.

On the card below, I just cut cardstock to fit the card and ran it through the Xyron then sprinkled black glitter on it. I have done several wedding and anniversary cards the same way.

try speeding up or slowing down your speed. if none of that works maybe you need a new blade. Remember glitter cardstock will dull your blade faster.
