I'm back!! After months of being hit.. and hit... and hit again with deaths, bad news, and just feeling "stuck", I've finally managed to "get back in the game", so to speak. We changed churches too, which in the beginning was upsetting for me. It was hubby's decision and I wasn't totally onboard. Turns out it was a blessing in disguise, no pun intended. My son is attending weekly youth group and he loves it!! I have an opportunity to get involved as well. I am excited!!

I also start volunteering at the elementary school again this week. I wasn't going to do volunteer at all this year, but on Sunday when the pastor was giving his sermon, something clicked inside of me. I did a little soul searching and decided that I have to do this. The kids love it when I craft with them so I feel compelled to volunteer.

I have my craft room back.. sort of. Our python, Julius Squeezer, has moved into the living room with our two young pythons, a Ball named Anastasia, and a Jungle Carpet named Squeezer Augustus.. but I call him Skinny. Three python enclosures in the living room.. my mother-in-law visits next month and is TERRIFIED of snakes!! The Geckos have taken Julius' spot in the craft room.. but they take up so much less space and don't need as high humidity, so I can work in there again... and I want to get to work.

It feels so good to be "me" again!!

It's too bad you didn't come here for some help.....we all love to try to help those in trouble. Even if it's just a kind word.

Hope you stay "healthy" (deaths and bad news have a way of taking their toll on the best of us; none are immune! Many times, it takes months to get back to feeling like ourselves!).

Praying that things are on the upswing for you for a long time to come!

Welcome back.

Snakes in the living room? OH my!

So glad that life is going better for you now.

We changed churches about nine years ago, something we never thought we would do. That is what saved our kids, teens at the time. If we would have stayed where we were, we know that they would not be the wonderful adults that they are today.

It sounds like things are really looking up for you. Everyone has downs in their lives and I think that what is important is that they make needed changes and move up again! That is exactly what you are doing so pat yourself on the back!!!! Now, get to crafting!!!!

So glad to have you back. I know how hard changing churches can be, especially if it's not your decision. Praying that life is all it should be for you from here on!!!

Thank you everyone!!

Now that I'm myself again, at the first sign that I'm slipping back into my shell I'll be seeking out someone to talk with. I won't keep so much bottled up inside anymore.

I'm so glad you got out of a negative funk, that is hard sometimes. Just keep putting positive vibes out and positive vibes come back! Here is one of my vlog videos that supports doing great things, volunteering is awesome.

You gotta love a snake called Julius Squeezer. Did someone get that one for Christmas?

I recently changed churches also, because of distance only. The one I attend I can walk to. And, I couldn't believe it when I tried the new one, they actually study the Bible every Sunday.

Glad you are coping. Keep trusting in God for your strength.

Mary
