I read somewhere that you can cut sandpaper with the cricut but I have not tried it; I do want to try it because I would like to make tactile letters fro my kindergarteners! Please let me know if you ever tried the sandpaper!

We sharpen our guillotine cutters with sandpaper... I would think it would sharpen your Cricut blade, not dull it. Just thinkin'...

Of course you want to use pretty fine paper!BigGrin

Maybe some alternatives to actually cutting through sand paper would be; Cut our your letters then apply glue and coat with:

fine play sand
micro beads
fun flock
glitter
tissue paper
sugar or salt
finely crumpled autumn leaves
fake snow
cotton (cotton balls)
fake moss
kool aid crystals

well.... you get the idea.

I would think the sandpaper would be similar to cutting glitter cardstock (but I don't really know).
