The only decorating we do for Christmas is putting a wreath on the door. I want to do more but just can't do it and with all my kids grown and out on their own, there is no one to help. My DH doesn't do that sort of thing.BigGrin

Hi All,

Received my gift from Barbara for the questionnaire prize. Very cute "candy corn" stickers which I have not seen. Thank you Barbara!

Answer to this weeks question: We do not do any christmas decorating inside or out. My hubby has been remodeling our house for quite some time now.

Have a good week, Carol K.

Some interesting answers on this week so far ! Laverne, don't feel bad because I hardly ever get to decorate much either...just the doors very simple. Even though I have bought things also... I have not put up a tree since my Mom passed away 6 years ago...I have not been able to handle that emotionally because Mom and I always helped each other put up our trees....I was thinking about trying it this year if we dont go out of town instead .

Carol, I am glad you liked the little candy corn embellishments and hopefully they got to you in time to be useful for Halloween maybe...
Jessica's prize is in the mail to her..

I am making great progress on my crafty portion of my box...not so good on the purchases yet...I have not been in the mood to shop !

OMGosh! Thank you BarbLove ! I can't believe it! I never win! Thank you again! Greatly appreciated! Yay!

Love the stocking idea. I normally host a stocking swap but decided not to this year! I just have to much going on with last minute craft shows and hoping to have a home craft party and cookie exchange with my friends and family!

NEW BONUS QUESTION :

Describe how you currently decorate the OUTSIDE of your home for Christmas (not what you did 10 or 20 years ago)... even tell us if you don't decorate...all responses go into the drawing.

Well I love decorating for Christmas! As for the outide...we wrap the banisters in garland and white lights. I add small red bows all over it! We hand icicle lights on the house. We hang garland and lights over the front door. I put a wreath on my door and smaller ones on the windows. We add lights to the bushes! I have a santa that lights up. Hes beside my door. We have a couple big blow up thingys in the yard. Normally a snowman and santa. But we tossed them last year. We are getting new ones this year. Hubby likes them and so do kids. Just have to watch my crazy nephews. They will beat them to deathLOL ! I love decorating!

Maybe we can all share a picture here when we decorate! I love pictures!

Big waves to my SS's!

I hope everyone has an awesome hump day!

Oh my, I put candy canes around my yard with lights to fence the yard in. All the trees have light in them outside. I have a wreath on every door and window. Mangers scenes in the yard, a light up church and Santa in a Helicopter, snowmen, angels and soldiers, horses and carriages and deer. If there is a place to hang a light it will have lights on it. Decorate the garage with lights on it and wreaths on the door. I have lights outlining my house with lights around the windows and doors. Greenery and red bows and lights around my porch.

Inside I put a tree in each room. I love to decorate for Christmas.

I have two large 4'nutcraker soldiers I put out one on my landing to my font door and one on the retaining wall on the other side of my drive way and a wreath on my door. Do not put lights up outside because it takes away from my tree that is in my front window.

Quite a large variety of answer this week... would love to hear from some more members about their decorating habits !
DH just informed me that we probably wont be home for Christmas this year so I know that I will do the bare minimums....I am always glad when I get home from a trip and know that on top of unpacking I do not have to take down the tree and all the decorations too...it is such a "downer" after the holidays Flapper

I was so down a couple years ago that I didn't take my tree or wreath down until the middle of January. Since our last child moved out a month ago and I'm not sure who will even be here for the holiday, I am debating not even putting a tree up this year.RollEyes

Sometimes you might find something that reminds you of a single line or part of the lyrics of a song...doesnt have to be the TITLE only ....hope that helps !!

Hi Ladies ! This past week's winner ( for the decorating question responses ) is Sandywcm86e0d8 !!

Your prize will be in the mail in a day or 2...

Blushing Sorry that due to a friend's funeral this past week I was unable to get in the mood for thinking up a new question...so will take a break from it this week and be back on SUnday night to post a question for next week's drawing.

Hope you are all having fun with this . I am enjoying reading the answers and getting to know you all better.

Plus - I am trying to subtly get some answers that will help you decide what to buy for your SS...if we can get her to answer the questions !

I hope to get all the addresses out and send them to you in the next few days too !

Thanks for being patient on this. Love

with all the overtime I am have been doing at work and working on this and the ATC card swap I am not sure even what day of the week it is. My surgeon said this is the first time he has seen anyone come out of surgery with a smile on her face. Still doze off frequently, but did manage to get out of house today and go to a craft fair with my neighbor. I was hoping to find one item for this swap, but of course it was not meant to be. Oh well, will have to put on my thinking cap and see what I can come up with.
