Back later to #1 cute Christmas card, love all the details. #2 awesome I love the simple black & white, great card #3 very pretty nice colors and love the ribbon. HEY no embossing on any cards Confused

I wish I could see his eye too! I love him sitting on the branch. Is the shape of the card the monkey?

Hope to get started on these tomorrow, I have a couple projects to finish up first but after that I will get started.

Carol,
Nice of you to jump in and Host after BingoLady. Here is how the Hostings look for the next few Challenges:

BingoLady - Nov. 6 to 19th

Joyful Carol - Nov. 20 to Dec. 3rd

NanaDonna - Dec. 4 to 17th

If all of you Ladies are fine with it, we will skip the weeks of Dec. 18th to Dec. 31st, due to the Holidays and everyone being super busy. If you would rather have new sketches for these two weeks it is fine and TurtleBug will host. Please post which you prefer... sketches or no sketches.

Otherwise the next Host date is:

TurtleBug - Jan 1 to Jan. 14 - Only if no sketches on the Weeks of Dec. 19 to 31st. I will then Host these dates. Otherwise, these two weeks are open for Hosting.

Thanks!!Smile

Hello everyone, sketch #2 through me for a loop, so I thought
I would tackle it first. BigGrin Sorry no Cricut on this one.
The papers are from a Christmas stack I got last year, Recollections I believe.
The poinsettia and saying are stickers. The green glitter stripes I made using 1/8 piece of that red tape stuff and then sprinkled glitter on it, it works great.

Bingolady hope you win at the Bingo.Laugh

As far as taking the 2 weeks off around the holiday, either way is fine with me.

Thanks Carol for offering to host, it is easy and I am sure you will have some fab sketches for us

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a nice day and have plans for a fun weekend.

Bingo Lady...I am so glad you have a new computer. I hope it isn't as hard to get used to as mine was. Just as soon I was getting the hang of things, they had a system "upgrade" to a new operating system and there are so many changes that it feels like another new computer. I'm still trying to figure out how to do the boxes for the ad colors. LOL.

I like your sketches. All are nice and they lend themselves to so many ideas. Your extra credit hard was really cute. I could see the eyes when I enlarged the image. Your #1 Christmas card is very pretty. Can you explain what you used to make it? I thought your #2 card was in the ad colors, but I guess not. Either way, I like how you did it. The colors in #3 are very pretty. I like the nice punched border and the little hearts. Are those brads?

Turtlebug...I'm looking forward to your cards. I'll have to skip the shopping spree this week, as I'm over my craft budget! I like to go to Hobby Lobby when they have the paper pads at 50% off. Joann's always seems to have the same old stuff.

Keith Ann...So glad the surgery went well. Relax and catch up when you can.

Joyful Carol...We look forward to you hosting. It's fun.

Gisele...You sound like a very busy girl. Glad you liked the colors.

Nana Donna...Isn't it funny how a sketch can throw and then it seems like the other posters don't have a bit of trouble with it? That's how I feel sometimes. LOL. Love your #2 card. That's very pretty paper and what a great idea to put sparkle on top of the tape runner. Very nice.

Sketch #1 The pumpkins were cut at 3" from Pooh and Friends. The leaves in the corners are some stickers a friend gave me. I think it would make a lovely Thanksgiving card, but I needed a birthday card! I even remembered to emboss before I put the card together.Flapper
I am not sure what I did to get the picture to post twice, but I suppose you will get a good look at it that way.LOL

Donna, nice Xmas card.I like the paper and the decor you used.

Carol, So glad to have you back, I like the little pumkins, Ilike the Pooh

Happy week-end Ladies!Smile

NanaDonna

#2 - Very pretty in traditional Christmas colors. Like the glittery strips, turned out great with the tape you used to make them. Pretty snowflakes in green..... great card!

Joyful Carol
#1 - Sketch is pretty simple, but I love the way you embellished it and added the Blingy stickers. Like all the shades of orange, and yes, the embossing always adds alot of dimension to a card. Very pretty!

Have not been home much the past two days, but will now get down to it and make and post my cards! LOL

Yipee! I got a card done today, didn't know if I would I was feeling a bit yucky today and moving rather slow.
I am real happy with how it turned out, I think it is real pretty and sparkly The white paper is all pearl linen paper, that I embossed with a Sizzix snowflake folder and then swiss dots.
The only Cricut it the label/frame which I cut with Art Philosophy and using CCR I was able to cut a small shadow layer. The little glitter silver skittles are from CTMH. The center snowflake is from out shopping trip yesterday, there are Stickabilities. TFL

Hi Dee,
Oh! Too bad about the shopping trip, maybe next time. Had a fun time with NanaDonna and BingoLady, but time goes SO fast when shopping!Laugh
I'm sharing some of the goodies I bought yesterday. We hit Hobby Lobby first, cause it is fairly new in town and we had never been there before (except the ones in Phoenix). Then we went to JoAnn's and then Michael's, by then we had to rush home cause we left our dear Hubby's watching dinner for us. My biggest find was at Michael's, I found the two desk accessories in the background, on clearance for $1.79 each... regular price $10.00. I so need to condense "stuff" on my desks!!LOL

My #2 Sketch Card:

Sorry, no Cricut!
Snowflake Paper - From last year
Embossing - A "Snowflakes" by Darice folder, I bought a few weeks ago. First time using it and I think it is very pretty, with the smaller size snowflakes.
Sentiment - Rubber stamp from Michael's
The center panel is in a very pretty shimmery silver cardstock I embossed. I added Christmas silver and blue metallic ribbon, small blue gems in center and the snowflakes are metal and gem stick-ons I bought last year on after Christmas clearance. I found alot of "after Christmas clearance" embellishments last year....I for sure will not be buying any Christmas embellies this year.LOL LOL

Donna, oh my, what a beautiful Xmas card. I love white and one color. And of
course the embossing. And the blue snowflack so pretty.

Wasn't it fun, shopping all day. I'm still so sore from all the walking.
The weather was so nice. Then we ended up at Donna's house for her famous homemade
Spagetti and meatballs. Yummy. I made a salad and Turtlebug took the apple pie
and icecream for dessert. I really enjoyed myself.BigGrin BigGrin

I was so excited when I saw the extra credit for an animal shape card. I have not made a shape card for some time and had been thinking I needed to do one again. I decided to use a shape I have wanted to make but have never seemed to decide what to do with it. I chose Chip from the Mickey and Friends cartridge. I cut him out and decided where I was going to place him on a prefolded card and traced around the top half of Chip except for the top part of the head where he was sticking up over the fold (for opening purposes). I cut out those two side pieces. I then glued some leaves along the bottom of the card and used some foam tape to stick Chip laying on the leaves. I used the border function and cut out the acorns and used some foam squares to lift them off of the page. I heat embossed the Happy Birthday and made a little banner. I glued this banner behind Chip's head coming from the inside of the card. I think he turned out really cute.

Looks like it was a busy week-end for everyone!!

I started to make this card my Ex. Credit Shape card. I cut two 5X5" Button shapes from the Artiste cartridge in CCR and welded them to create a card. First I cut the button pattern paper and then a plain white one out of cardstock for thickness....welllllllll...the two cuts did not match up very well with the button holes, much to my disappointment. I covered the buttonholes cause the mismatch was very obvious, I just keep going with it. I was hard to work-in the black color on a girly card. I used as little as possible, but it is in there! Not too happy with the end result. It looks like a regular square card, SORRY!!

My Ad Color and Ex. Credit:
Button Cut - Artiste cartridge
Button Paper - Michael's single sheet rack
Sentiment - Computer-generated
Added lace and buttons
TFL!!Smile

***All done with my cards for this challenge. Have to start working on the posters for my grandson's Soccer team. Will post and share the first one I get done. Have a great week everyone!BigGrin

I am here peaking it. I have not been feeling to well the last few days but I did try and get in my craft room yesterday to make sketch #3. I cut everything out and it was so horrific looking that I did not even glue it together. Back to the drawing board today. Thanks Turtlebug for your inspiration on #3 I make have to lift a couple things from your card. I am trying real hard to get things done because Friday I am leaving to go to Colorado to pick up my Mom and bring her back here to spend the winter with us. I am looking forward to it because it is me and my son (42) & daughter(41) going and we have never done this just us together. We will be doing a lot of talking I am sure, it will be a fun 12 hour (one-way) drive.LOL

Ex. Credit Shape Card - Love this little guy!! What a cute expression on his face and he looks like he is really enjoying that pile of colorful leaves. You did an awesome job on this card..LOVE it!!

Just a reminder Ladies....
We need to know if you want new sketches for the weeks of December 18th -31st, due to the holidays. A simple "YES" or "NO" from each of you will be the deciding factor.
