Wub Wub Wub Wub getting closer to when I leave! Bright and early on Thursday - so I have some visiting time with ds before crop.

Changed my mind on goody about 12 times so far - who knows which it will be. School day for kids (home school) and thinking seriously of calling it a snow day so I can begin to pack (we do school on 'snow' days anyway). I have to work tomorrow, so probably just finish tests before their fall break (aka - mom goes to crop and they get time off school rather than the MEA time public school kids up here get off in October)

Not sure if I am bringing just a project or lots of layouts. Decisions, Decisions. Can't wait to see (or meet) everyone!

LUCINDA HEADS MY DIRECTION TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a safe trip and I will see you tomorrow!!

Some last minute tidbits for those coming to the crop....

Please bring a snack to share.

If you are bringing yard sale things, mark them with your name and price.

If you need directions to the mall, let me know. Once you get to the mall, drive around it till you see Bergner's and Sears. In between the 2 you will see a small sign in the yard, this is the corner you will find the door to the community room in! You can drive back by the door for unloading, but then please move your vehicle to the parking area. All doors will be marked with a sign!

If you are bringing something for everyone's goodie bag, you will need to bring 21 of them!

If you have any other questions, please let me know!!

Drive safely and I will see you all soon!!!!!!!

Glad you ladies are having fun. I wish I could come but just didn't have the extra money around this time of year. Maybe in a couple years if you are still doing it.

I had a great time at the crop and the food was delicious!! I got a lot of scrapping done!!

Scraprageous, I did indeed lose my watch! It broke the night before and I stuffed it in my purse, but then I lost it (apparently in your car.) I have to have a watch at work so I bought a new one Sunday night!!!! You can just pitch the old one.

Hi Ladies,
I was so bummed I couldn't join you all.
I really tried, just knew I would be miserable all day
if I didn't go home and take care of myself. I am feeling
quite a bit better today and am enjoying a fun birthday to boot.
Hugs to all
Kathy

Barb - glad to know about the watch - sorry it didn't turn up sooner, but when I got to mom's and cleaned out the car, it was between the seat. Happy you have a new one!

Kathy - happy Birthday!

Thanks Janice and thanks to all of you who made or bought things for the goody bags.
It was a nice surprise to get them. I took Mary's by to her yesterday too.
And I liked the T shirt as well.
Re health:
I am now on my 6th rd of antibiotics with this stupid GI problem. DH got his treatment
and is doing better but now they have him back on chemo for 2 years of maintainance,
which makes his neuropathy in his feet worse.
But I do have some good news to share, my dd had her baby on the 9th, it was a 10lb 1oz boy.
And my ds and his wife found out they are also having a boy in late March. So things are
wonderful with the gkids. Ya gotta love em!BigGrin

checking in to see how all IL friends are doing.

My family members in Washington, Peoria, and Bloomington are all alive - we are very thankful for that. Buildings and stuff can all be replaced.

Ds sent a pic of the hail from Bloomington (yes, I will be calling our insurance agent). His pocket knife is not tiny. around 5" long and that is a standard cinder block under those hail stones.

I am not including pics of flattened homes and barns. It is heartbreaking one one hand, but soooo thankful that the people are ok.

Scraprageous, I am so glad they are all ok!! Did your mom have much damage on the farm? I have been hearing so much about Washington that I didn't even realize Bloomington got it too. That hail looks HUGE! That alone could do lots of damage, without adding in the winds/tornados. Thanking God that your family is all ok. My heart and prayers go out to all those who were affected by the storms.

Yes, but their house is fine (other than hail damage). They didn't get hit like Washington did. The family members there have it much worse. So, though some barns are gone and vehicles have quite a bit of damage, they aren't feeling too bad as they are helping family members in other parts of the state with a lot more damage and unlivable houses.

I wasn't sure if your area was hit or not. Also couldn't remember if anyone from the crop was from Washington, Pekin, Peoria, etc. as I know all those areas were damaged. Washington definitely got hit the worst with most of the town being hit. In Pekin, a block from my relatives house, one of the 81 tornadoes took out a row of houses.

At least, the news here is reporting 81 tornadoes. Definitely praying for everyone there.
