Last night I had some things cutting out on my cricut using CCR. So I was logged into CCR on my cricut computer. I got bored waiting (very long intricut cuts) so I came into the computer room and logged into cricut.com and was reading and posting in the MB's. I'm not sure exactly when it all happened since they are in different rooms, but when I went back in to remove mat, it had stopped cutting. I thought it might have stopped for a couple reasons. 1) It was cutting too much or 2)my cricut computer went to screen saver during the cutting. So maybe it stopped working because of that.

But sitting here right now, I got wondering if being logged into CCR on one computer and logged in at cricut.com would kinda cancel one out. My computer in the computer room is hooked directly to the internet while the cricut computer is on wifi. So I'm wondering if me posting in here is pulling the signal away from my cricut. Does that even make sense? Anyone know?? I know there have been people reporting their cricut stops cutting in the middle of their cuts..but I never seen a reason for it.

I don't know. I usually surf the MB or FB while I'm cutting with CCR, but all on the same computer.

I have two computers that work together; one is XP and I use my Experssion on it. I am often on the other computer (Windows 7) while things are cutting out in CCR on my XP. I have never had any problems like that. They work fine together. Mine do, anyway; don't know why yours wouldn't, also.

I regularly have my laptop and my desktop going at the same time. One in CCR and on facebook etc and one at Cricut.com and other web sites. I haven't noticed any problems.

Thanks Narelle and Char, It was just a thought that I had. I'm going back to my first 2 reasons for it stopping like it did. I have only had it happen a couple other times and each time it was doing a bunch of small intricut cuts and I didn't sit there with it to keep the laptop from going blank.

Joyce...you can change your settings so the screen won't go blank too soon (you can set it to so many minutes+). Do you need help with that? That would be very irritating. If you need help, what kind of computer are you using and what is the Operating System (e.g., XP, Windows 7, 8, etc.)?

I do not know how to do that. Hubby is my tech guy but he's in bed or at work when I need him. I have a laptop windows 7 for my cricut. It also shuts off by itself if not used in so long. If it's easy to change, I'd love to learn how.

Try this:

Go to START/CONTROL PANEL
In Control Panel...go up to top bar where it says VIEW BY: and select SMALL or LARGE Icons.
Go to POWER OPTIONS (mine is in the first column) and click on POWER OPTIONS.
In left column, click on CHANGE WHEN THE COMPUTER SLEEPS.

Does that help?

This doesn't help me cause I don't have any options on the top bar that says view by and the option that comes up in my control panel window does not have power options. No wonder I can't find where to change things. LOL
