Here are some more photos! Over the top. Directive 19 was the Tom Holtz book titled A Compendium of Curiosities. I flipped through it and discovered all sorts of fascinating techniques. Thank you cards directive 15. THANK YOU AGAIN ROBIN for everything.

Hi Gwynne! I felt kinda bad having missed this swap, especially since Christmas is my favorite holiday. I have been extra busy with work and I knew it would be next to impossible to send a quality box without some sacrifice on my part in terms of our family time and my sanity. I have too much paper and not enough time. Kiko is 2 years 3 months now and he is quite well-behaved for a toddler that I couldn't brag enough about him. lol! Yes, he's the type of child you can take with you to fancy steakhouses and he just sits there, eats and does not bother the other patrons. He is still in the 98th percentile for height. Weight, not so much. He's just 50th.

Sorry you have to deal with a lot of stress in this swap. I hope your Christmas break will more than make up for it. I am glad to see new faces, as well as our wonderful regulars whom I became friends with. Our front room is decorated with items I got from the previous swaps, and right now, I am looking at the Christmas banners from Kel, Tracy, and Jen and the altered house that Cheryl made for me.

There are some items in this swap that I would love to have dibbs on. I am not done looking at the pics yet. I have to go back another time for it.

May you all have a wonderful Christmas!

Kiethann, I saw you posted about your photo situation. If you put the SD card into your computer it should pop up a message asking how you want to open the photos. You should be able use to Microsoft Picture Viewer to download them. Once the downloading is done, click "Start" then "My Documents", then "My Pictures", and they should be there. You can move them to your desktop to add to cricut.com. I load mine to Photobucket (free) and you can do that directly from your SD card if you want. Photobucket helps to edit my photos and make them a size that can be used on cricut.com. Hope that helps.

Message me if you need more details or want my phone number to call me. BigGrin

Nice job on all the cards Robin! The Merry Christmas with poinsettia is especially lovely.

Also, using the bit of lace on the brick tag is super cute idea too!

And that TH book for a newer swapper here is also a great idea!

Look forward to seeing the rest of the pics!

Very nice job Robin and enjoy it all Kiethann.

Hopefully Amy and Carol will post pics soon of what they received from each other.

I'm in a tizzy here trying to get ready for our vacation and finish up the things I wanted to take care of before we head out...There just is never enough hours in the days leading up to Christmas!

I could really use one more day of free time....

So if I don't find time to post again before Christmas....

then I just want to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas!!!

Congratulations COB on your anticipated first grandchild.

I just wanted to post a pic of the frame I distressed using the TH Distress paints and stains which Robin sent to me in my goodie box.

Sorry, too much snow on the satellite dish. will try to post photos later.

Robin, thank you for letting me know I missed posting a picture. Ladies the burlap board Robin made is awesome. At the top of the board is a bulls eye clip holding very pretty small calendar pages for each month of the year. Even though the little embellie in the right hand corner has knowledge stamped on it, the cutout letter K is also for my name. I know it is a little hard to see but the background is divided into eight squares. Each one is titled with one day of the week and the last one is memorandum. There is a little metal tag below the calendar with the phrase possibility begins with imagination. I put magnets on the back of the board and glued magnets to my wall above my printer so I can look at this truly incredible work of art each time I am in the craft room. Also here are photos of the 12 calendar pages.

Kiethann, thanks for posting photos, but I can't see the one of the actual board (it's not loading right).Blushing

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I didn't get crafty stuff, but I got a KitchenAid stand mixer I've been wanting. Can't wait to open that baby up.

Also, for those of you who love all things Tim Holtz, he now has an app for your smartphones. It's called "Tim Holtz" and it is awesome. It links to his blog, his videos, social media and all his products. You can even check off what items you already own and create a wishlist of things you want.

We are back from our wonderful cruise. Had a great time and everything went smoothly all week long. And I only got a little bit homesick on Christmas morning.

I was hoping Amy and Carol would post pictures while I was away but I see that did not happen. It sure would be nice if you two would take a few minutes to do that for the rest of us.

I have some work to do to finish up this swap and then I'll have a bunch of pictures to post before I close out this swap.

So stay tuned in about 10 days or so when you see this thread show back up on the top of the page.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and do have a wonderful Happy New Year!

I forgot to post that I received a PM from Carol....she's hoping her friend will be able to show her how to post pics this weekend...but that friend has been out of town, so she's been waiting on the help to arrive! lol

Not sure about Amy. Carol did not take pics of what she sent Amy..so it's up to Amy to post pics.

Well, I find myself in a hard spot regarding the completion of this swap.

I would like to be acknowldeged for the time and effort I put into this swap. I started working on the directives for this swap way back in September and I was so pleased with myself that I did not wait until Thanksgiving weekend to start this swap (unlike other years where I procrastinated or signed up for too many holiday swaps at same time).

And as you all know, I got backed into a corner by Lori when she didn't mail on time. Yes, she did finally mail, but unfortunately she didn't let us know until after I had made the hostess decision to mail the box that was suppose to go to her to her partner instead - Ali.

And yes Ali could post pics but I hate dragging her into this mess and I don't want her feeling like I'm feeling right now....that I'm rubbing salt into Lori's wounds - showing off what Ali received instead of Lori. But hey....just like we all preach to our kids when teaching them life lessons....you break the rules, you suffer the consequences.

and FYI: I worked all of last weekend on items to send to Lori, but I am not finished yet. But I will send a swap box to her soon. I am too honest of a person to just grab junk out of my drawers and send inappropriate items to her. It will not be as nice of a swap box as my original box to her, but it will still be nice and I'm actually re-creating about 3/4ths of the items for her and I hope she will find it in her heart to enjoy these items next Christmas.

So I'm just going to post the pics myself. Ali has privately thanked me but I would like to share my creations with the rest of you too.

And again, I am so very, very sorry that this swap went so sour and I've had to continue the drama explaining my position as a hostess to each of you. I just hope you will all take it to heart as a learning lesson and not complicate things for your hostesses in future swaps. And I hope this will help you all to understand why we tend to have such strict rules - especially in partner swaps, such as this one, that required much crafting time and quality crafting abilities.
