I tried to follow Melanie's directions on her video about how to upload .jpg file to cut. I did an OK job, I think. It's not perfect, but it is a lot of work to clean up all the layers. I am going to really want to cut the file to make it worth my time. After I cut it out, I realized that I forgot to cut the letters out in orange again. I was going to layer the orange on top of the black.

I went back into the file that I had saved. When I looked for the file, it showed it was there. When I clicked to open it, nothing appeared on the mat. I can't figure out why. Is there a trick, Melanie?

Wish I could help but when I finally get around to doing a jpg it'll be because somebody, for starters, shows me how to save it to my computer so that I can find it. And THAT is baby step 1. Hope somebody out there can help you.

I would go back and try it again. I think you just have to wait 30 seconds or a minute sometimes. I have had that happen (rarely, though) in CCR and think nothing's going to pop up and then.......there it is.

Sometimes you I have found you have to scroll up or down to find the image, or zoom out to find it. I have no idea why.

The scrolling is rather annoying. I've found that the canvas will scroll while I'm browsing images or have other dialogs open. It's annoying to pick an image, pop back to the canvas, and say, "Umm. Where'd my image go? Oh, I have to scroll up to the top." Confused

Just tried that. It's not there. I know it was there because I opened it, at one point, & added to it.

I guess I will have to try to re-create it. ...someday

Thanks, anyway.

GO-GO before you try to recreate i would call CS they should be able to help you find it. That's just too much work if you do not have to do it. I loved your cut. I'm getting ready to try a JPEG and I'll let you know how it goes. Its very easy to do on the C machine which I also own.

Here is something I didn't realize. All the individual images I uploaded & "cleaned up" are saved! They show up on the page that comes up when I click "Upload Image!" All I had to do was to click "insert images" & when making the project in Design Space. I saved it again. I'm sure that user error was somehow involved in my previous problem, but I still can't figure out how. I'm glad I didn't have to re-do the vector uploads all over again. That was time consuming.
