I was wondering if everyone could post pics of the different markers (not the cricut explore markers) they are using with their explore. I am a visual person. I need to see pics and then maybe I can print out said pics and take the pics to the store with me with me so I know what to buy LOL! Thanks!

bumping this back up to the top. I think it would be nice for everyone to have a list of all the markers that work with the explore all in one place. BigGrin

I haven't received my Explore yet, but someone said you can use the following markers:
1. American Craft Slick Fine Tip Markers
2. Recollections Fine or Medium Tip Markers
3. Crayola Fine Tip Markers (not the washable ones)

I just ordered some of the Crayola ones (since they're inexpensive)online just so I'd have something to practice with when my Explore comes home (another 10 days to go!!!)

Hope this helps!

I got mine at Tuesday Morning and went to two stores to find the different kinds. They are the American Crafts Precision Pens and they all have 5 pens per pack. I got the Metallic (gold, silver, pink, blue and purple) with medium tip, blacks (01, two 03, 05 and 08) and the pack with blue, red, green, pink and purple (all 05). I also got the glitter ones but haven't opened them because I've been told that while they fit the holder, the tip is not long enough to reach the paper. They were all $3.99 a pack. http://www.hsn.com/produ...c-11e3-9f1f-001b2166becc

I have also tried Marvy Le Plume II markers, the fine tip edge works great. I have every color from when I was working with rubber stamps. You can get them at Michaels and AC Moore.

i have Faber-Castell makers and they are working ok...but not the greatest they are the artist ones, and have a soft tip that smooshes down, so if they had a hard tip they would work great

I've used the Recollections Signature Especial Photo Marker Set. It's a set of 18 markers, fine point. They work great but you need to "prime" the marker so the ink is ready to go, before you put it in the Explore.

Oh wow I also have these Le Plume markers & got mine at JoAnns. I will try them, I also have the American Crafts markers too. Looks like I should be good as far as markers go. I do need the score tool though.

If you plan to use Crayola just remember they aren't permanent markers. I just wonder if they'd fade faster than the others.

I would love to use Cricut brand, but they are not in stock anywhere. I hate ordering online as it take 8 days once it leaves the PC distribution center...REALLY... Thanks for the pens choices!

The Precise pens have been my favorites. You can write really, really small with these and they have good ink flow and never skip like a few of the other brands have.

The gray color is the Cricut marker. It left dots, but thinking it's because it's so new. maybe?
The dark blue is Slick Writer. A few dots but not near as visible.

Hello,
does anyone know if Cricut Color Inks will work in Explorer machine? They look " fatter " in the picture than the one that came with machine.
thanks

Which American Crafts pens do you want? The American Crafts Metallic markers are the same as the Cricut brand {same colors}. I have several sets of different markers leftover from when I did an Explore launch party in March. If I have the ones you're looking for, I'll just send them to you.

What about for the Expression, I am having a heck of a time finding markers or pens for them. I ordered a big set from Amazon but they are to long. Hopefully they will fit the Explore whenever I get that.
I did order some from Amy and hope they work but mail is so darn slow.
