So I am a new owner of a cricut. It was given to me with many cartridges and supplies. I have created a few wooden boards with names and sayings with vinyl. I love working with vinyl. I am wondering if I can use paper on these boards also? I have just taken pieces of scrap wood and sanded and painted them. Do I need to seal the board after the paper is applied and with what? Would modge poge (don't know is I spelled that right)work? Also will the vinyl be put on top?

Also, I have had a few issues with my machine cutting the tops of words off or not how they are supposed to be, like flat instead of rounded. Its an issue with the machine not because it cut off the vinyl. Has anyone had this happen and how do I fix it? I have hooked up with cricut craft room and linked my cartridges. Love this feature so far. Thanks for any help you all can give!

I applied the paper and vinyl to wood, then would Modge Podge. Please post what you are working on when you get a chance. Thanks!

Just like she said, modge podge over the whole board for a seal. You can get it in glossy or matte finish. Are the letters cut off on paper too? Try starting the cut 1/2" from edge of paper/vinyl. Hope this helped and would love to see your projects Smile
