My package from Rita came today and boy was I spoiled. No dibbs, people.....don't mean to be stingy, but mine all mine.

The order is off in the way I took pictures, sorry. I will post them in the order I remember.

T
Iand

M
H
O
L
Tthe wings are made of plastic, I believe.....gorgeous in real life...and
Tim's chalk technique.
Z I forgot to take a picture, but will when I go back downstairs. Die cuts and stamped images and sayings.
I loved everything and Rita, thank you so much for spoiling me. You taught me new ways to use a stamp and maybe I will not be so hesitant to try new things next time.

yes, I just saw it. I had help unwrapping and the nest and feather appealed to my 18 month old nephew. He did not hurt it, just carried it around saying birdy. LOL

Yes I love everything and had to laugh when I saw the ornate ovals and industrial stickers...great minds and all....

Jeri's pkg. is out for delivery today!

SO that just leaves Deb to receive hers probably not until Monday and then Jean when she returns.

Rita - just love the backgrounds on all the tags and cards. Nice choice of colors on each item! I agree that the dragonfly is super pretty! It looks like there is a faint honeycomb stenciling in the background too?

The snowman looks to be glittery white sparkly? Pictures never do justice when trying to figure out what exactly you did! lol

And you did a great job with the red and blue patriotic tag too.

Great job on using TH techniques and coloring elements!

Enjoy Denise!

Yea, more pictures! Love the colors in the time flies tag. The chalkboard bunny is so timely as well and looks like you nailed the technique.

Gwynne, the red and blue item is a box, not a tag. I need to take a better picture of it tomorrow. Rita used the seasonal stack from Tim on the inside. My husband actually took it for his Kuwaiti liberation Medals. i will take pictures tomorrow.

Ok maybe my last post was too long.

First off Jeri and I had decided we did not have as many TH products as we thought we did so decided to use the products we had being TH or whomever and use TH techniques.

On the Bird Cage tag I used the Tarnished Silver technique and attached 3 of the Trinket Pins if 1 is good 3 must be better. I used TH Tissue Tape on the bird.

On the 2 cards I used the Sticky Powder with Leafing technique on the leaf. I used papers from the Kraft Resist, Seasonal and Retro Grunge paper stashes.

On the Christmas tag I used the Blueprint Wreath stamp and heat embossed with TH distressed embossing powders.
On the Halloween tag I embossed a Foil Tape Sheet with a TH Halloween Fade and layered 3 sets of 3 different colors of Alcohol Inks. Had to attach one of the TH Bones – love ‘dem bones.
I sent along stamped images and word sayings that Rita let me borrow and dies cuts of the few TH dies that I have. Caged Bird, Elegant Flourshes and Heart Wings.
You can see from the pictures I sent Jeri some TH products so that the next TH swap she enters she’ll have a few more item to use. I just hope I didn’t send anything she already had.
I hope I at least met the Tim Holtz challenge this time.

Great job Deb on your projects and use of TH techniques!

That alcohol ink technique for the Halloween tag is just perfect! Perfect technique to use on Halloween themed project, for sure.

And that is great that you and Jeri communicated together and decided to build on your need for more TH stash! lol Every little bit helps for future projects!

Enjoy your goodies Jeri!

and yes, Debbie, you did just fine with fulfilling the requirements of this swap! It was meant to be a starting point for all of us and so far we all seem to have embraced that concept and enjoyed dabbling in the world of Tim Holtz inspired projects.

Maybe Rita or Denise can give an explanation as to what everything is in the pictures. The pictures are so fuzzy that I can't get a good feel for anything! (sorry, don't mean to sound rude)

I definitely see a lot of TH stamped images, but hard to comment on what I'm seeing! lol

THanks for posting the pics for Rita too!

Jeri, you sent some real nice TH supplies to Debbie! No reason for her to not put them to some good use! lol Especially that umbrella man diecut!

Again, I'm not sure what a couple of the projects are....so it's hard to comment if they are more then a tag or card front.

What is the last picture that holds the diecuts? THe metal rings...so some kind of binder with pockets?

Nevertheless, great job on tackling this swap and learning something new!

Now we just have to wait for Jean to receive her pkg. once she's back from her trip.

I may be repeating myself here but I have something going on every weekend for the next several weeks!

Grandson's bday, yet another baby shower, hockey outing with family, getting my paperwork done and taxes done (UGH!), then Vegas.... When am I ever going to find time to clean again? lol

Then a boy in my granddaughter's class has cancer so they are having a benefit for him end of April. So we are going to work on putting together a raffle basket for that event. So that will also take up my free moments! But of course for a good cause.

We brainstormed Friday and are going to go with a travel or summer vacation theme. Here are some crafting ideas I came up with: And if anyone can add to my list of ideas, I'd very much appreciate some additional ideas. The basket will have some bought items too, but am trying to add crafted items to hopefully catch the attention of a fellow crafter in our area.

Instead of a basket, alter a box to look like a vintage suitcase with the leather straps, buckles

alter a coffee mug for car road trip, vacation bound...
mini album using TH suitcase die (COB made me one last year - awesome!)
FlipFlop shaped mini album
Travel suitcase tag - can list all the items inside the basket
alter cover of a spiral notebook, road trip vacation bound....
altered picture frames regarding vacation memories
alter water bottles (which is covering the wrapper with a vacation themed wrapper instead, like how they do that with candy bars)
make toppers to staple onto bags of snacks for the road trip
Have a Kool Summer (Koolaid packet and spiral straw - saw on pinterest)
alter a bank (coffee can) for vacation fund
paperback book with crafted bookmarks
altered clipboard, which has attached souvenier checklist to keep track of who you all need to buy souveniers for and track your budget allowed for said expense (saw on pinterest)
diecuts having to do with vacation, beach, amusement park, camping, etc.

(granddaughter can also earn a GS badge helping with this)

Bought items:
beach towel
pool items
sun tan lotion
sun glasses
GC for local ice cream stand (do some stuff based on a "staycation" and enjoy the local attractions instead of an expensive big vacation)
or even small GC for McDonalds or Wendys...

My biggest issue is trying to make the basket look inviting with crafted items for non-crafters who are clueless about the time and effort put into crafting items or altering items for this theme. What would catch their interest?

Any feedback appreciated!

Gwen, How about altering a travel baby wipe container. I was so thankful I had tossed one of those in when I made a 5 hour road trip. One of the rest stops did not have any human consumption water (because of the tornado which had went through the town the night before. Also adding a box of granola snacks might not be a bad idea. Maybe alter a container for change for the toll booth. A small spiral notebook and a pen to jot down notes while in the car or other means of transportation. When we went to Hawaii, I carried a small spiral lined notebook and jotted down a quick description of each picture after I took it along with the number of the shot. These are the only ideas I can come up with off the top of my head right now.

6th picture is random Easter ATC cards made, just because.
5th picture are TH products. Configuration box I covered with TH paper and Tissue Tape, Metal paper and 2 Burlap TH canvases the I found in Michael's.
