I am very new to cricut I just bought the CE2 and am still learning. I have been having problems when I am cutting things onto paper or even vinyl, I have everything at the right setting that the books say when cutting but the blade still cuts lines all throughout my paper when it moves to cut. I am not sure how to fix this. Also when I did vinyl it cut all the way through the back also, I saw that some people changed the blade setting to three so I tried that but it is still happening... Lastly I keep having the blade cut all the way through and leaving marks all over the sticky mat. I am not sure if that normally happens or if I am just doing something wrong... help!

Are you sure you have the blade housing in correctly? Is the paper flat down to the mat? Also i've read where ppl that use the E2 have to be sure that the mat goes in correctly, that its going in flat. as for vinyl you might have to set your blade at 1 and the pressure at med, different vinyl requires different settings, i use the Expression and some vinyl its ok to have the blade on 3 and some its best to have it on 2 and always pressure on med.

Thank you that did help. I just had to play around with the blade settings and I got it! Do you know if they have figured out a solution as to why the E2 has not been able to connect to the computer if you want it too. I know it is designed to work without one, but I think I would like to use my computer with it more often than not.

I connected my E2 to my computer and used CCR the first time I took it out of the box. What problems are you having?
