Nancy, glad you got some scrapping done!

Sandra, good luck with possible kitty #2. Oh my.

Sharon, I saw the pics of your girls on facebook. The face painter does a great job!

Shelly, hope you figure out a banner that does not take tons of work and mess.

Ran errands this morning. Came home a took a little nap. Lincoln bounced in about 6 a.m. today and I had an awful headache yesterday and needed a bit more sleep.

Our valley is really hazy from all of the fires burning in the Northwest. I am sure the smoke does not help the headache any. We are to go camping on Sunday afternoon. I have no idea how it will be in the mountains.

I wish I felt like I could take few minutes here and there and scrap. I feel like I need a whole bunch of blocked out time, which I never have. So, I don't get much done. I guess I need to learn to do a pic or two at a time.

Thanks Joy! Yeah my friend Marli does face painting now, just as a side business (like my vinyl work) & she is really good at it! So she did a free event at the park, I guess to get her name out there more. Girls looked great with their faces!

For those that didn't see, here are my girls, with their faces painted!

Girls together with faces painted

Oh & Elise wasn't smiling much, as she wanted her dog smile to show. LOL She said if she showed her teeth then her face makeup didn't work as well/look as good. LOL Silly thing.

So I am up at some weird hour as my MIL woke us up, freaking out as an outdoor light had gone on & she couldn't figure out how to turn it off. LOL Paul walked her through turning it off. But now we are both awake & can't get back to sleep.

Going to be a looong day as I have a scrapbook crop to go to today & you know those crazy scrappers stay up until the wee hours. I think if I drink some caffeine I may make it to 11pm! LOL I will see.

So off at 8.30am today to that (about 1 1/2hr drive from me in North NJ) & won't be back until Monday some time. So have a great weekend all!

Oh my, Nancy. So sorry for your losses. Prayers for you and your extended family.

Spent the morning washing ALL of my mom's dishes in their RV. Mice had gotten over the winter, and there is mouse poo everywhere, so I washed everything in bleach water. Scrubbed would be a better word. Meg went and helped. DH is working on the inside of their RV. Ours is pretty mouseproof. DH had filled any spot he can find that might let mice in. Because they have come in up camping before! In the middle of the night. Yuck.

found some stuff to spend the rest of my gift card on yesterday at the scrapbook shop. Cleaning this a.m., coffee with friends this afternoon, then got dh out for a bike ride this evening.

Sharon: your dd's faces are quite cute, your friend did a great job. Have fun at your crop, sure wish there were some around here

Nancy: sorry about your losses, take care

Joy: hope you get rid of all the mouse poo!ThumbDown

Well, our cat Chico now officially has a new home with the vet. We decided that that was the best place for him due to his medical condition. Now, how long will it be until dh gets me to the Humane Society for another one...bets anyone?LOL

Tomorrow I'm off with mom shopping in the afternoon and Sun., we may pay a visit to dd & sil to see how they are getting along. Apparently, they are getting a new dogBigGrin

Take care everyone and happy craftingBigGrin BigGrin Hope everyone has a great w/end

Hopefully DH got all the mouse yuck taken care of.

Today is camping packing day. We will head out after church tomorrow.

Our youth pastor has resigned and tomorrow is his last Sunday. He will be sharing tomorrow during the service.

HOWEVER, they are staying in the community. He is going to be a financial advisor. The entire church is so glad that they are staying around. One can only be a youth pastor for so long and still be able to relate to the kids.

I may or may not be back to post for a while, but like Arnold said, "I'll be back!" eventually. It just depends on if we camp where we have phone reception. We never know till we get there.

Hi girls,

Very stressful and emotional weekend.

Sunday thankfully we had our Pond Tour saw lots of new members which is always nice. We had a strict schedule to follow unfortunatly whoever put it together didn't think about all the traffic coming home from the East End.

The tour started out way East of us never even heard of that town but it was a nice Sunday morning beautiful day relaxing the couple who we went to see had 2 ponds one about 6000 gallons and then a smaller pond. He also collects and sells quail, chicken and pidgons he has a lot of property but boy the work too much. We saw 2 day old quail so cute.

Then coming back West they had to stop at another house hugh pond 10,000 gallons lots of fish.
then it was my house no one wanted to leave usually it is set up an hour at every ones house
then there were 2 more houses to go to but we were exhausted. I think I was in bed by 9:30pm.

Well I hope Joy and Shelly you are all enjoying your camping trips

Sandra nice you spent your gift card enjoy did you get a new cat yet??

hope everyone is doing ok. We got our new fur baby on Sun., pretty busy little guy, He's almost 4 months old and his name is Trooper. Our other cat Sam isn't very happy with the new addition, getting better though.

Nancy: glad your pond tour went well

Joy & Shelly: hope you are enjoying your camping trips.

Sharon: hope you had a great time at your crop...I'm so jealous of you

I managed to get a couple of pages done on the w/end. Skipping bocce tonite to go to a jewelry party. I'm a bit disappointed with Special Olympics at the moment, so it's probably best I don't go.Cursing

Now introducing Trooper to everyone

Sandra... he is so cute enjoy him. Have fun at your jewelry party.

My DD came with a Pampered Chef catty boy does that add up fast..

Ms. Abigail is sleeping her and Hannah had a nice play date. I was able to bake some GF muffins and I added raisens and shredded carrots and they came out so white. My GF said for color I should have added brown sugar. Taste good that is the main thing.

Now I know when I go anywhere I need to bring fruit or my muffins with me.

When we were on the pond tour each house you went to either had donuts or cake and it didn't dawn on me to bring some fruit with me.

Now I am getting sensitive to dairy I can't eat my favorite Greek Yogurt anymore or any kind of yogurt. Each day I seem to be finding more and more foods I can't eat.

Giving up the flour, soy and Whole wheat is bad enough but now dairy!!!

Have a good evening

Sandra, Trooper is so cute! I am sure he makes you happy!

Had a great weekend. Some nice ladies, some that I knew, many that were new friends & everyone was so nice. Had a fun time, Santa even stopped by to give us all some presents!

Then saw Straight No Chaser again on Sunday night in the Poconos with a friend/fellow CTMH consultant. I had gotten us front row seats, it was awesome! Then met with them afterwards & got them all to say "hi" to my Mum on a short video. lol She loves those guys, so thought that would be a nice surprise.

Now back to reality & finding it hard to get settled back in. lol

Husband is very depressed still, as he didn't get a job he was hoping for.
Was really down last night & saying some bad stuff. I wish he would go talk to someone, like a psychologist, but he won't. He needs to, he is so depressed, but can't drag him there. Ugh. He is so sad right now.

I am trying to persuade him we need to do a short getaway together as a family. Not something expensive, just something to get away & forget about life for a little bit. We shall see.

We like going to a timeshare in VA & I see there is a 1 week vacation there on Ebay starting at $99 & it ends in 9hrs. Kicker is check in is on Friday to next Friday. But have nothing next week, so really we could do it. Something to think about.

Just wish I could get Paul to snap out of it. If you pray, if you can say a prayer for us, for Paul to either get a job soon or to at least feel better about himself. :(

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer today.

I think I need to get a second job LOL

Last night before our friends came to pick us up I saw on HSN Anna G. cricut cart so I ordered proud of myself only ordered 1 thing free s/h because I had a coupon.

Now come back to the house and everyone had their goodies my GF was nice enough to make me a Gluten Free Peach Cake it was really good Then after she had her delicious fruit pie she goes to taste my Peach cake and said that it terrible. I said sure after having something so delicious of course it will taste a heck of a lot different.

I am really learning how to eat the more food I eat I am finding I can't eat. Now I am sensitive to Fat Free Milk so DH bought me Coconut Milk and Almond Milk should make good shakes.

Then couldn't sleep turn on the TV what do I see something I have been wanting for a long time "The Cinch" Machine had a good price once again using my coupon got free s/h.

Now DH said I will buy it for your birthday OK

Now today he is saying why don't I get a bread machine so I could make my own GF bread. Go on line I found one convection bread maker he said he will also buy me that. What a guyBigGrin

Sharon saying a pray for Paul... This might get me in trouble but if he has been out of work for so long and is depressed how in the heck can you go away on vacation!! I would think money would be tight.

Yep, money is tight. But we haven't done a family vacation for such a long time. So thinking a change of scenery & change of pace may be what is needed. It is just woodland & golf courses around that place. Would only go if we could get it for $200 or under. I am guessing it will go for more though anyway.

We'll see, he is not sure about that idea though.

I think he needs a break from staying home, applying to jobs every day. But not going to force him to go either.

Well I didn't win the bid on the vacation, so guess we will be staying home.
We will just do some day trips or something instead I guess.
Probably better for hubby with the mood he is in anyway.

took our new fur baby and his "older sister" to the vet today for their check-ups. All's well with both of them. BigGrin The vet we saw was the same one that adopted our Chico, he's finally on the mend but will have to be on medication for the rest of his life. She also gave us two drawings her 5 year old dd did of her and Chico. Now I know we made the right decision to let her have him, he's getting the best care he can get.

Sharon: hope things turn around for dh real soon. Glad you had a nice time at your crop and met some new friends. Have fun on your day outings whatever you decide to do

Nancy: have fun with all your new goodies.

Tomorrow I have to take mom for her therapy as well as 2 days next week.Cursing
The Fedex lady brought me a box from here today; some rolls of vinyl, iron-on vinyl and a couple of replacement blades for my Explore.BigGrin

Hope everyone else is doing well

Yay, more vinyl Sandra. You are going to have fun then!

I should be getting a shirt order today, then may work on some shirts later.
Kind of took a break (needed a mental break from everything), but need to get back to it now!

I think we may go to Dorney Park next week on one day. Just so happens I got an email with a special offer for $23 off a ticket & they love it there. They have a big waterpark area, which the girls love, as well as the regular rides area.

Maybe a trip to the shore to go on the beach & boardwalk rides one day too?

Hubby was in a bit better mood last night. I think I stressed him out with the possibility of going away for a week. So he is relieved & less stressed now. That's good then.

Hope you all have a good day.

Sandra.. enjoy all your new goodies. How is mom doing???

Sharon...Dorney Park sounds fun. Many many years ago when me and DH went to visit his cousins we took the kids and went to Dorney Park.

I don't like roller coasters at all and DH talked me into it at the time it was the largest roller coaster. Well I was so scared my wedding ring was a wide gold band I squeesed the bar so hard I actually bent my wedding band. With one hand I was trying to hold on to my eye glasses (mistake should have removed them) and one hand holding the security bar. Never again BigGrin

The girls should have a good time

Yesterday I got so much accomplished in the house. Abby and Hannah played and I cleaned out all my kitchen cabinets they really needed it, .

Sat. we are doing something fun it is the yearly "Country Festival" on Long island about 8-10 Country Bands some of them we have followed for the past 20 yrs. No dancing with DH weak ankels and my knee we will just have to sit and watch will be hard. Because I always loved to dance.
I haven't danced since I pulled leg muscles and hurt my knee line dancing on cement. That will teach youAngry

Well enjoy the day we have a 80th Birthday Surprise Party tonight at a beautiful restaurant but so late. We have to be there 8pm so dinner will be late.

Have a great day

I wonder if anyone has ever done this before...

I store my Summer clothes in my basement my DH years ago finished the basement and made me a Hugh walk in closet and I store all my clothes in there and so does he. Well some how when I was cleaning out clothes by mistake I put my good capri's (summer) in a bag and gave it to Good Will.

Now I have been looking since the good weather came and had to go out and buy new capri's. We are talking roughly 12 pairs... all colors I am so sick over this. Even DH went and looked high and low and nothing.Crying

Usually I just hang them up but I was trying to make more room so I thought I would put them in a bag which is what I do when I am giving away to good will.

I have to say there will be some really happy ladies out there.BigGrin

stopped in at M's today and found the Tablescapes Fall & winter on clearance for $20.00 as well as a Spellbinders set for $9.00BigGrin! It was so easy to link the cart to the Explore!

Nancy: mom's doing ok. Took her for therapy and groceries today, she insisted she didn't need her walker. I was sort of glad as it's been pouring rain and terribly windy all day here so I didn't have to keep opening and closing it. Enjoy the party and the concert

Sharon: hope your girls have fun at the park. Glad dh is feeling a bit better. Picked up a sandpail & shovel also at M's. Thought I would put my great-neice's name on it for her birthday. Better use up the vinyl I just boughtLOL

Sandy: I don't think we've met before, nice to see some new faces join us. I'm from Alberta, Canada. I'm married with 3 grown kids, 2 dd's both married as well as a ds who has down's syndrome and lives in a group home. I work as an Educational Assistant so get the summers off to enjoy my craftsBigGrin

Hope this rain stops for the w/nd, have a b-b-q planned for Sun. Other than that not much going on, might be a good crafting w/endBigGrin

Take care everyone and happy craftingBigGrin BigGrin

Ooh wow Sandra, good price on the Tablescapes cricut cartridges!
I have done vinyl on the sandpail & shovels from M's for my girls & they came out great! I saw they were on sale for $1 this week & was so tempted to buy up more. LOL But really don't need more!

Well plans have changed a bit. Hubby is still fine with it though. lol
I get an email from the Ebay person selling the week vacation at the VA resort. He said I was the 2nd highest bidder & he actually has the upper & lower level available for this week & would sell me the lower unit for $250 (for the week vacation) if I were interested still.

Hubby still did not want to go, but said I should go with the girls. He knows we would have a good time & would enjoy the peace & quiet by himself (and just with Frodo, the dog).

I was a bit hesitant to go by myself so got in touch with a couple of friends & one friend can make it. She is coming with her 2 kids & herself. So will be $125 each, what a super deal for a week!

There is a half kitchen with full fridge/freezer, so taking food for lunches & dinners too. So should not be a lot of added expenses. Gas will be the biggest added expense. It will be so much fun for all of us.

Hubby is very happy too. He is already making plans for his quiet time. He will go see the Planet of the Apes movie, is going to have a lobster night & get 1 or 2 lobsters from the store. lol

I will take my laptop, so will try to check in with you all. But just in case, have a great week!
