You can use points. I hear it is in the rewards section. Takes longer to rejoin though, at least last year it did.

Liz I am also a Charter Member and feel like we got "NO RESPECT" at all by PC ....

I think it was really lousy of them to just LOCK US OUT on the very day our membership "expired" (mine was August 1st) and we never got an advance notice nor a GRACE PERIOD .
The new cartridge is a huge disappointment - not worth $80.00 and , in fact, how many of you ladies got your $80.00 back last year in savings ?? You would need to purchase $800. worth of items to get the $80.00 back. Shipping with PC does not count because they ship EVERYTHING FREE that they sell on EBAY and Cricutmachine.com.

I am defininitely NOT RENEWING my membership. I am just as happy as I can be using the regular Forum - I think it is all a waste of money to be in the current "Circle".

This is Cricut JoAnn,

We apologize for any confusion around the Circle Membership. The memberships are good for one year. There unfortunately is not an auto renewal option. However we did just release the new Circle cartridge "Indie Days".

Here is a link to that cartridge. Hopefully this helps.

No one is renewing their membership.

Charter member has meant nothing since the first two years of the Circle. Everything changed in Aug 2012. There were no longer Circle years/quarters and no renewal. Joining the Circle is just a purchase on circut.com with $$$ or on cricutrewards.com with points. And your year expires one year from the date of purchase. When it expires, you just buy another year, if you want to continue as a Circle member.

Oh - so that confirms it in my mind that really, there IS no point in being a CC Member. Just improving PC profit line. LOL

I found the new cart and possible membership on the cricutrewards.com - I have no need for any of the other items in there, as I own it all already - I may as well use my rewards and get something seeing as though I'm thinking they may pull the rewards or not add anything worthwhile

I have to say I am disappointed in no advance notice. I guess loyalty doesn't count for much these days. Last year I bought a new membership, but it was announced prior to the ending of my current membership so I was able to save the $8.00 (10%) and free shipping....

Can you confirm access will remain on the circle messageboard?

Thank you.

Here's part of the transcript:

Amanda: You cannot purchase a membership while you're still an active member; you did not receive your email until your subscription expired because you cannot purchase a new membership until the current one expires.
Robin Goens: Ok. Thanks. Have a good day.[/b]

And with that, I don't think that cart's worth $80! So it doesn't look like I'm going to renew. I have lots of new SU Holiday Catalog stuff I could pre-order as a demo with that $80.LOL LOL LOL

The information highlighted above is not actually true....I received an email on the new membership last week in my email account and my subscription doesn't expire until October. Just thought Amanda might like to know this.....although, she probably won't come back to these posts.

It seems like PC would note in the EMAILS that we cannot renew until after our previous subscription has ended. SEEMS LIKE THIS WOULD CLEAR UP A LOT OF CONFUSION FOR PEOPLE WHEN THEY GET KICKED OUT unexpectedly.

As we all know, though, PC seems to THRIVE on a lot of extra phone calls when they do something new on the MBs. Each time it changes hands, you hope they come up with better ways to do things at PC.

They have it noted where you buy the membership.

"<< CURRENT MEMBERS: Please do not purchase a new membership until your membership has expired. Find your membership dates in your account under “Cricut Circle Information.” "

Has anyone purchased with points and gotten back into the circle yet? I ordered over the weekend and haven't gotten my code yet. Hopefully I will get it today.

I renewed my membership yesterday via Cricut Rewards and Indie Days cartridge. I got my code today, ordered via Cricut.com, and my membership has been reestablished. Also, the Indie Days cartridge is a full cartridge with Fonts, Phases, Images galore!

Thank you for the info Debbie. Did it charge you shipping? I'm getting a charge and have to put a payment in to complete the order. Tried to call PC but they are in a meeting.
