I bought one at Michaels this week, because I was able to get 50% of. Problem is they didn't have a whole lot of folders on offer. Can I use the cuttlebug folders in this.. ya think?

I know you can use the sizzix folders in the cuttlebug, but am not sure about the other way around. I don't see why not! Give it a try.

You can definitely use the Cuttlebug folders in the Sizzix. Works great. Just remember that it won't die cut though.

I don't have the Sizzix embossing only machine, but I do have the Sizzix Big Shot. The BS gives a listing for how to use folders and dies from other companies. I don't know if their embossing only machine has that list.

FYI, if you are looking for some good prices on the Sizzix folders here is their link, www.sizzix.com

They not only have regular retail items and ones on sale, but they also have a link on the top of the page for their outlet. At the outlet you can save as much as 80% on some things.

You can put things in the same shopping basket from both the regular online store and the outlet store. There s/h is fairly reasonable. I recently spent about $40 and the s/h through Fed Ex was about $9. The original retail value of what I ordered was about $280, not that I would have ever spent that much.

HTHs,

CharB

I use sizzix folders in my cuttlebug all the time, i actually prefer them now, at first they are a little on the thicker side and harder to feed through, but they give a much better impression because of the thickness, LOVE THEM!!

Yes you can.

I have the Cuttlebug which uses just about anyone elses dies and embossing folders for the size of the machine and Sizzix pretty much the same for the size of the machine.

I agree, I like them a lot too. I love my Cuttlebug and the only thing I wish is that it was larger and would do larger folders.

I have a Big Kick and use all kinds of folders in it-sizzix, nesties, fiskars. My suggestion is look up some posted sandwich recommendations. Try those and then write your own notes as you adjust from there. You'll find each brand to be a bit different and you'll never remember which sandwich goes with which!

Thanks for that info. I bought some of the cuttlebug folders today and will test them out tomorrow ( when not being as lazy as I am tonight)
