WE chose to do tags instead of cards:

My usual vintage santa I like to share in all my swaps
Stamps from Flourishes, and scraplifted the coloring scheme
and then I finally made my first ever TH 12 days of tags when I made the snowman one! It's really cool in person and was actually pretty simple to make - though a little time consuming. My first time cutting out anything in grunge paper. So I was all excited to discover Tim showcasing that tag and knew I could do it too as I had just received the snowman earlier in the month! It's the red scarf sticking out that grabs my heart! I just love red! I think you can tell that the tag is covered with a piece of plastic (that cartridges come encased in) embossed with a snowflake EF. And used more TH items for the 4 corners. His has more embellies...but I'm happy with my simpler one.

Then I made ornaments that I had made in JeanP's xmas swap. Though these are better made as I learned from my mistakes the first time around! lol They are very simple to make and really not all that time consuming. It's just using a nestie label 14 (I think).

Day 5 something dangly with red or green

Santa's pants dangle on a hook, right? lol filled with red and green and a little mini album I've made before. An idea for her thinking maybe something she could send overseas to her inlaws with pics of the kids sometime.

Day 6 - box covered in paint to hold her fav. sugar babies candy....
Scraplifted this idea from marti at pezadoodles.....just loved the look of the crackled paint only covering portions of the box. And using viva pearl pens...something new to me but my partner in Jean's swap was wishing for...so that's how I came across all this viva metallic paint, crackle paint and pearl pens.... So I had fun playing with my new supplies! And got to put my TH sizzix dies to some more use too!

Hi All! I got my box from rosie yesterday, but have just had time to take pics and post -- I'm going to try this again - hope I can get it to work.

Rosie - I'm not sure if some tags fell off or not, but I've taken pictures of the ones that were labelled and then the others, so can't really say which is what number. Don't think that part matters at all. Thanks for all you work, rosie.

Good job Rosie! Hope you had a great holiday weekend!

and thank you all for your comments! It was my pleasure to step in and partner with Denine even though we were both coming from behind with her gone on vacation and me busy getting my other swap completed first. But we both managed to pull it off! lol

I just realized that I hadn't posted the pics of the banner that Anne made me. I love it it looks great and I know she has some serious time in it. It is also reversible and I'll post pics when I swap it over to the happy new year side. Please check out the post on my blog. Ihave posted several new things lately- family pics, altered starbucks jars, and nugget boxes.

It looks great on your entertainment center. I am so glad that you like it. I wanted it to be different, so I made it reversible.

Hope you all have a great new year!

Happy New Year I miss my scrapping friends!

Well, another crisis averted! The skilled nursing facility Mom is in gave us a notice that after Dec.31, medicare would not pay for Mom's stay at their facility because she was refusing to work with the therapists and she was not showing improvement. That was Thursday the 30th, we were told we could appeal but that they almost never granted the appeal. Talk about panic! $165 for her to share a room and $205 to keep her in her private room....... and this is and older facility not a new fancy shmancy one. Well, repreve, the appeal went in our favor so we have 2 more weeks. Mom is having cognative problems... PCOD as a result of the anesthsia she was given (http://brainblogger.com/2009/09/28/postoperative-cognitive-dysfunction/) Time seems to be the key and she is 'clearing' up. I thank you for all your thoughts and prayers keep them flowing, please.

Rosie - hope mom continues to improve.
I'm curious - I know you said your husband got the box I sent you over Thanksgiving and was going to get it to you. Maybe I missed it, but wondering if you've had a chance to open. Hoping you like everything.
