Well, here goes, my first attempt to post pictures on the new boards.

I think all three of mine can use a bit of an explanation

Travel ... I love cruises and this is a picture of me on my first ... well I suppose technically it wasn't a 'cruise' but a trip, my Dad was in the Canadian Air Force and we were transferred to England in 1954, this is me on the ship that moved us over there.

Sport ... My DGD dances, (as I think I may mention occasionallyLaugh ), this picture was taken during the performance, not a posed shot, my DGD is the one doing the handstand ... if this activity isn't as athletic as any other sanctioned "sport" then I'm missing the point.

Broken pieces, I didn't know what to do for this and then I read a description of Serendipity squares, and I thought they would be perfect for this.

I am starting to get a little nervous about not getting some of these on timeCrying

Hey everyone!
The ATCs are packed and ready to go 1st thing tomorrow. If you want to see them, I posted them on my blog. They are under a John Lennon video that goes with my Group 2 ATC.
I had a great time with this swap, and I can't wait to hold the ATCs in my hands! I love all the previews!
Have a great night!

I have one more to finish, need to get some supplies tomorrow and hope to have them in the mail on Saturday. Will send prioirity due to date and weight, lol.

My mom is in the hospital, she had heart surgery today and I was up there all day. There's a 50/50 chance on her chances so things are a bit tense right now. I'm planning on going up Saturday, after mailing my package, so hopefully I can get the last one done tomorrow and ready to mail.

Keeping you and your mom in my thoughts and prayers.

I will be working against the clock to get these done. They will be in the mail on Tuesday and sent priority. There is just too much Life in the way of everything right now. My Chilhood one is done and I really like it. I have the plans for the other two. I am going to get them done this weekend.

Erin is also finishing hers. She is out of school on Monday and Tuesday and will be working on these all weekend. Her plans for her ATCs are great, though.

Mine are done but it's been a hectic week so I haven't had a chance to package them up and make it to the PO. I took a pic of one of them with my phone and will try to upload it sometime today. My theme was: Danger Ahead. I used the cracked glass technique to make a "window" looking out onto a lunar landscape. The border of the ATC is the window frame. In front of the window is the robot from "Lost in Space" saying "Danger Danger!" I did this ATC because I used to watch this show when I was growing up, and remember the robot warning Will Smith away from "danger!" I had fun making this ATC.BigGrin BigGrin

I managed to get mine postal before heading to the hospital, DC is 03090330000244223124.

I will post pics on my blog after I get back home. I'm at the hospital now, taking a breather. It's hard to see your parent act like a child because of pain and the drugs they have her on. I hope after this I've reached my quota of hospital visits for the year!

I will also post about my ATC that relates to me later.

ska8rmom1,
how cute!

Mine are posted on my blog. The only one of mine that relates to me personally is my patriotic one, I've explained it on my blog but didn't relate the personal part. The ATC is based off a song called "Angel Flight" by Radney Foster, the song is a tribute to all US military personnel, especially those who've fallen. We have a really good friend in Afghanistan right now and every time I hear of a local soldier being killed I freeze until I hear the name, scared that his name will be the one I hear. I know we would probably know before its broadcast on the news but I can't help the reaction. Even though the song is powerful enough to stand by itself in tribute, this ATC is also in tribute to those who've fallen in the line of duty.

I've tried twice to add the pic but can't seem to get it right. They are on my blog if you want to look.

Hi Shellie,
I hope your Mom is doing better, I am keeping you in my prayers.
I stopped at your blog to see the ATCs, and they are wonderful! I love the Angel Flight, and can truly appreciate your personal story behind it.
Ska8mom,
Your Atc brings back so many memories! We used to play Lost In Space in our backyard when we were kids....
Love it!!! Thanks
Have a great night,
Col

Ugh! Stopped at the PO this morning with my package of ATCs but it was closed--Columbus Day!
I'll try again later this week when I can leave work a little early. Sorry for the delay.
