It looks like I won't get mine until at least next week (boohoo!) because according to the USPS tracker they are going to go around the world to get from Chicago Heights to South Texas.

Chicago heights, IL to ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL 60007
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL 60007 to WEST SACRAMENTO, CA 95799
WEST SACRAMENTO, CA 95799 to RANCHO CORDOVA, CA 95670

November 04, 2010, 9:39 am, RANCHO CORDOVA, CA 95670

Where are they going next? Japan? Guam? Hawaii? Certainly not Texas ...

I just looked at the tracker I posted, and realized even if they figure out they're going the wrong direction, I won't get them till next week. They'll come to Dallas, get sorted again, go to either Houston or San Antonio to get sorted again, then maybe to me and another day until they say "out for delivery", which is no promise either. Last summer my mail didn't get picked up or delivered for days because I'm near the end of the route and if the carrier wants to go home, my mail just goes back to the PO to get carried around on another day...Angry Angry Angry Angry

Okay, I went back to USPS.com and tracked my pkg again, and this is what is says now:

Expected delivery date Nov. 4 2010

Bullet Processed through Sort Facility, November 02, 2010, 6:42 pm, ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL 60007
Bullet Acceptance, November 02, 2010, 1:53 pm, CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL 60412
Bullet Electronic Shipping Info Received, November 02, 2010

Now, according to my computer, TODAY is Nov. 4 ... and I got no mail at all today.

Hmmmmmm.... I hate the Postal Service (or should I say, Disservice?).

Just went back to USPS tracking and it still says, Elk Grove Village, but above that it says:

Label/Receipt Number: 9405 5036 9930 0388 5251 63
Expected Delivery Date: November 4, 2010
Class: Priority Mail®
Service(s): Delivery Confirmation™
Status: Processed through Sort Facility

Your item was processed through and left our ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL 60007 facility on November 02, 2010. The item is currently in transit to the destination. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

Okay USPS, it is LATER (like, 3 days), WHERE IS MY PACKAGE? According to your info, it's still sitting in Elk Grove Village collecting ... dust, I hope. One of my PhD's and I unpacked a computer and there was a 2" long cockroach in the box ... and it wasn't dead!

GRRRRRRRR!!!!

Go ahead, Terri, open your card fronts, you've earned itCrying Crying

That oversized varmint has been dead for at least 15 years, and I wouldn't wish it on someone I didn't like, let alone you Laugh .

I can wait, I'm a patient soul ... and the P.O. is going to tell you that only Express mail is guaranteed delivery by X date.

I have plenty of things to keep me busy, I just won't think about it. Go about my business and they will, like babies, come when they're darn good and ready.

Terry, Terry, Terry,

I got my package yesterday, sitting on the table after getting home from work. Didn't do anything else, but stand at the table and open one gorgeous card after another. The cards are fantastic and will go to good use. I have swapped cards about 10 times and these are the first I have received that used flocked paper - just beautiful.

Terry - so nice of you to pay for my shipping - you really didn't have to do that....

Now to vote just for 3. well - that means I have to go through them a 3rd time (darn)LOL looking for my favs --- and narrow it down to 3........

Thanks Terri

I just double checked the DC and yes it says it's out for delivery. I am retired (or my dad likes to say retarded) so I should be here when the postperson drops it off (gives new meaning to "androgynous")(I'd post a pic but I can't send emails to my computer from my phone). Unless of course I get off my duff and to the commissary for some groceries so we can eat next week and it comes while I'm gone ... But like I said yesterday "out for delivery" is no guarantee that it will be delivered!!

Terri -

They're here, they're here!!! I can't wait ... leaving the board open while I go find my scissors!!!!

oh. dear. I feel like a very plain jane... So many beautiful cards-to-be!!! I am so grateful!! These are exquisite!! There is only one that I have already decided will not be in my top 3, BUT ... that's because of the style, the card is beautifully balanced and well designed and made. I have sooooo much to learn from you people!!!!

And I do hope I see a cuttlebug in my future ... Laugh Laugh Laugh I think I can count on Santa. He likes the fact that it doesn't plug in.LOL

Will be a good little girl and PM my 3 faves probably on Monday. This is going to take some mulling over!

Hi all, Everyone should have their packages by now, still missing some votes. I just finished opening the rest of mine and WOW what a great selection of beauties we all rec'd.

If you opened up your packages like so many of us and tore them out of the envies and now you can't remember what card belongs to whom, don't worry, just send desciptions, I have a full set in a binder, numbered, separate sleeves.

Just want to say that this is one of the greatest swaps I have been in. Not only was it flaker free, the hostess sent in on time and she keeps us informed - Terri you are a wonderful hostess!!

And all of you ladies did such wonderful job with the cards, it was SOOO hard to pick just 3 'cause I loved them all.
Have a wonderful day!
