I recently received a great altered composition for grandmaj and I really loved it! SO I decided to Host this swap so that others could enjoy a notebook themself.

Details:
Alter one composition notebook using the upcoming holidays as your theme. I think most would want Christmas, however not everyone celebrates that holiday so please state if you would rather have a different holiday.
You will only be altering the front and back covers, the pages are to be left blank so that the receiver will be able to use it the way they see fit.

I will take sign ups until Friday evening, and then I will close and allow for people to request names.

Notebooks need to be post marked by Oct 5, 2010!
Please do not sign up if you can not finish this swap! I want this to be flaker free!

When you sign up please list things that remind you of the holidays. So grantors can get some kind of idea of who they want to grant for and what style they will be using. Please do not tell the person you are granting for, I think it makes the swap more interesting.

To make it more interesting: I want everyone to leave clues to who they are granting for, but leave it as clues dont come out and tell them! The first person who can figure out who is granting for them will receive a special surprise from me! But you have a limit of 3 chances, when ever you think you have it figured out PM with your guess! But be wise, because no one really knows when their grantor will ship out and you lose as soon as it hits your door step (so please do not post DC numbers!!!)

Please PM me your addy when you sign up so that I have them on hand to give to the grantors.

PM Dc number when you ship.

As host I will not participate since it will be unfair to know who is granting for me.

Lets have fun and enjoy this swap!

Hello! I am here!

Still working on my book. Tried heat setting those flowers yesterday and since I don't want _____________ to have ____________stained fingers every time she uses her book, I am trying something different. Those will probably just end up in the trash. I know, it is sad, but they just won't dry!! Hoping this new idea works though!!

Still trying to figure out who is making a comp book for me....might have to make my first official guess today! I have eliminated 16 of you!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

forgot to ask...how many of you use the modge podge on these? I never have, why do you like it so much on them? I always use the skinny red tape or now my new friend, that other tape (Blushing I can't remember the name of it! omg...I am loosing my mind!) Doesn't the modge podge leave it bubbly? Do you completely cover the book/paper when applying it?

GrandmaJ - I used Modge Podge for the first time on this book. I LOVE it. It did not bubble, I used the back of my foam brush to push it down as the podge was drying. Yes, you put it all over. It leaves it looking more distressed and aged, in my opinion. I really like the look.

My SS's book will be there tomorrow. (fingers crossed!) Last hint... She has 3 vowels in her name and MB name.

I haven't used modge podge in years. I have a bottle in my stash- wonder if it's still any good. I will have to try it on a book soon!

Ok Modge podge is the best!!! Janice it is what I used on the little magnolia box I made you. You put it on the inside of the paper and then apply and smooth it out, I used a brayer to make sure there werent any bubbles. If you want to put it on the outide its up to you. But it will give it a nice finish that is glossy!

I love this stuff!

Whoohoooo! Brandy is making my book!! I guessed on my first guess!! (Although I have to admit, I had eliminated about 18 of you before I was brave enough to make a guess!) Brandy gave soo many hints and I just kept answering all of them with 'that could be me'!! Finally I got brave and made my guess and Lisa confirmed!! Brandy, I can't wait to see what you make!!!!

Still working on my book for...oh shoot, who is that for? Oh yea, someone with an A in their mb name and their real name!

One last hint: My SS lives on a street named after a tree, like me.

I use Modge Podge as well. A brayer works great for smoothing everything out after adhering paper. It helps in getting any bubbles out.
