Hi everyone! Swaps are in and received for:
LoriSunchaser - Sept
~Pamela~
MaureenSala
BleedingCricutGreen
Jaybeemom

Also I am very sad to report that I will not be able to post pictures this month. Crying I went to a Regional Seminar yesterday and my camera died. I think it is just in need of a battery, (or at least I hope, as my 4 year old dropped it recently), but it isn't in the finances to have it looked at. I WILL have it ready to go for next month!!! Sorry for the trouble this may have caused!!!

I added the themes requested to the list? any one else have ideas?

I will be working on these tonight and (provided there is no rain, and any more floods) they will go out tomorrow!

Hi everyone! I wanted to let you all know I have three craft fairs coming up in early Novemeber, and I have been pretty much doing nothing else but crafting! I pretty much get home from work, start crafting stop for dinner, get the kids ready for bed and right back to crafting. Fri, and Sat nights I have been staying up as late as I possibly can...until my eyes don't stay open any more.

I am not trying to ignore you all, I just have to stay focused. Staying focused = no computer! Please don't give up on me, just trying to make some extra money for Christmas this year!

I will get the threads updated very soon! Tomorrow is crazy, but I will make a point to get them up to date on Friday!!!

OH PS, my camera is ALIVE!! Just needed a new battery..thank goodness!!!!

I have been looking for a swap. I have never done one, but I love making cards. Is this 6 month round still open? If so, how many openings? I have 3 other friends who may be interested as well. How many cards would I have to make to get one from everyone who participates? Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you.

HI Kali! Yes we are still open! We do themes, six months at a time. If there is a month you have to miss, it is okay. Since it isn't a 10 member, everyone gets 1 card from each member, we don't have "spaces". If you send in 10 cards, you get 10 cards. You will not get a card from each memeber, and different mont's you will get different cards from differnet people. So all are welcome.
It is hard to say how many you'd have to get from everyone, because it is a "open" swap, people may opt out of a month. Sometimes I don't know how many will be recieved each month. You are welcomed to make one for each member, however keep in mind that if you do, and there are 20 people signed up and you send 20, but only 16 people send in that month, that you will get back 4 of your own cards.
I'm also going to copy and paste this to a PM for you, and please, tell your friends that if they are interested, to come and check us out!
Thanks!

Thanks for the info! I want to try and make the Christmas one. Do you have to recieve the cards by the 31st? Is it customary to send hand made envelopes? And do most people leave the inside blank or do they embellish the inside as well?

Hi Kali,
Welcome to Gina's card swap. She is the greatest hostess!!!! I can probably answer your questions

Yes, the Christmas cards(October's theme) would be due to Gina by Oct 31st.

We try and do cards that are A2 size(4 1/4 X 5 1/2) so that we can use a standard card envelope. I buy mine at Staples or wallmart

If your cards are a different size, then you should send an envie with them.

As for the inside of the cards, some leave them blank and some embellish. I think it is up to you.

Hope this helps

I worked super quick and got my October cards ready. Can someone please explain to me real quick the shipping? Also, if I send 9, keeping one of my own, will I recieve 9 different ones back?

Kali here is what Gina has posted on the first post of this thread about shipping. I send mine in a priority flat rate small box and send 5 bucks for return shipping. That way if some cards are thick and heavy the shipping is the same.

Please include a large enough envie so if someone makes larger cards then you are sending, they will not get ruined. Please be sure to include Postage NOT METERED POSTAGE!!!!!! This INCLUDES the Self Serve Labels you get at the PO. THEY ARE DATED TOO!!!! Not to be rude, but if I receive metered postage from you this year, I will ask that you send stamps out to me to return the cards to you. I love hosting, and don't mind picking up a little postage here and there, but I will no longer be covering for Metered mail. THE PO WILL NOT ACCEPT THEM!!!!!!! DO not let them tell you otherwise!!! (Some people said last year that the PO told them it was OK. It isn't! My PO will no longer accept them!!!!)

Also, Gina asked in the first post to send groups of 10. I make 11 cards, keep one, send 10 and get back 10 different cards, not one of my own.

She has all the info in the first post on this thread you might want to have a look there.

Hope this helps!

I also wanted to say thank you to Pamela and Jean for stepping in and replying to the answers!
I have been busting my hump for the past 2+ months for craft fairs that are coming up in November. Found out today that one sale which said I was in, emailed me today to inform me they didn't have room. Apparently the job of booking vendors switched hands and I fell through the cracks!Huh And now there is no space for me!Crying Crying Crying
I am hoping that I can get in some place else now as I am piled up with finished projects!!!!!!
