Hello Everyone,
I picked up my Cricut Cake back around Christmas and have been trolling the site for a while. All of your posts have been very valuable. Thank you for your help.

I've put together a short video clip and some photos of my first creation.

BONUS POINTS: Mention in the comments if you 'get' the concept of the cake (and describe it for those who didn't). At the party, only 3 people understood what I was trying to go for. It sucks that I probably spent 10 hours or so working on it and no one understood it (they hadn't seen the movies)

After reading the constant posts of other users problems and troubles, I was concerned that it would be difficult to use the Cricut Cake, but everything went smoothly. Yes I had to redo cuts numerous times but I rolled with the punches and tried different methods.

*(since the design and development of my cakes takes so long I don't bother making and icing the actual cake, I just decorate it on top)

- I used Craft room to layout my mats
- The cake is a full slab (1/2 white 1/2 chocolate) iced in a light cream colour
- The body copy is cut from Wilton's icing sheet (1/2 hour to layout, 5 minis to cut, 2 hours to remove the text from the sheet
- Roo is made from Gum Paste using the Roo2 image from Pooh and Friends cartridge
- Christopher Robin's Letter is made from candy melts that I 'cast'ed the chocolate into a paper then hand iced the letters (I had my 6 year old write out the words so I could spell it like Christopher Robin might)

I'll answer any questions you may have regarding it. I'm a Cricut user for life now.
Thanks again
James R. Watson
