Yikes! It's 2 am and I'm still up. I've been in my room purging more LOL

Paula, I looked but I don't see any music stamps. I may have had a CTMH one but my friend bought all the CTMH I had for sale. Sadie is back into the routine of sleeping in the tub. She still hasn't laid down on the floor yet though.

Carrie, when I finish it, if we are staying, I will look for a job then. It's nice that you are getting to work on your Rome pics.

Lizzy, sorry about work stressing you out. But I am glad that you don't think it will last too long. I'd love to see Sarah's dress. Maybe I should check my email?

Well, D called and the supervisor had still not gotten the app from HR. So he went down there and talked with HR to see what the problem was. Didn't really find out but one of the HR people sent it along so at least the supervisor will get it now. D is going there tomorrow to find out. I just hope they are not yanking his chain for some reason. this shouldn't have taken so long. The stress of waiting is making me a b*&^* and I've not been very nice to be around. I just want to know what direction our life is going so I can figure out what I'm going to do!

Ok, going to bed now

Later!

Good morning from snowy Kansas! We are finally getting some snow. Even Thunder Snow! It is kind of weird to have thunder, lighting and heavy snow at the same time! Snow finally started about 4:30 am and we already have over 6" and it is still coming down. Everything is closed. Even I-35 is closed due to semis that have gotten stuck on the highway. My boss called earlier to say we are closed for today - so now I need to see what I want/need to work on!

Lizzy, I can't wait to see the pics of DD's wedding gown.(Hope you have my email!) Glad the plans are nearing being finalized. That will help with the stress level. And kuddos to Terry for stepping up and offering to help with the gift bags.

Laurie, your little bath room is really coming together. I like the colors you have chosen. Glad Sadie is finally at east with her "bed". Maybe she didn't like the colors - after all it is her "bedroom", maybe you should have let her chose the colorBigGrin You are really going to town on the purging/cleaning. You will be all cleaned up and ready to start crafting again soon. Hope D gets good news at the casino today.

Carrie, try not to over do it so you can enjoy your time in Cancun. Sounds like you will be just about finished with Europe just in time for Cancun.

Paula, what kind of soup did you make? Hope Deb is doing well. How did the fashion show go? Yes I am still working on taxes. May work on them today so I have the weekend free.

Pat, what have you been up to? Did you ever make it back to the cemetery? I have several requests, but due to the weather it may be a bit before I try to head out for pictures. But it sure would be beautiful out there now.

Nancy, hope all is going well for you and you are just busy. Did you get your tax input finished?

OK, I am off to see what fun I can have on this unscheduled day off.

good morning. Bone chilling cold here this morning, but the sun is shining.
Rhonda, I am glad you are getting the much needed snow. I know it won't be enough, but at least snow will melt into the dry ground, whereas rain would just run off and not do so much good. Nice you have an unexpected day off.
Laurie, I hope D gets some answers today from the casino. Your projects and purging have inspired me to get back to mine. We are holding off on the major remodel (kitchen) until after the 1st and we see where the defense cuts are going to be. But I still have the purging.
Lizzy, I too would like to see Sarah's dress, but I am not sure you have my verizon email. Hang in there for a few more days on the school work.

Well, I had a productive day yesterday cutting exploding box parts using the free cuts. I had to stop and run up to M's to get white 12x12 paper for the inside pieces on some, but I managed 6 for future gifts. I also got the cfs box ready to ship and I started a new paper scrap box for youngest dgd's class and/or the school art teacher.
I also printed 9 images to color for the birthday card swap I am in. I decided to do them all the same. I will use different papers, but they will all be the easel style card.
I also printed pictures for 2012 gingerbread pages. I think I am going to be good on the page kits for the crop. Need to start gathering embellishments.

I am off to the grocery store to get salad fixings and the bank to make a deposit. By then Staples should have the society newsletters printed and I can pick them up.

Good evening. If you saw my FB post you see I got no where running today. Last night we took Jim's car into the dealer to get a check up and a few issues fixed. He would drive Chris' car to work in morning. Then, early this morning Jenna called and said her battery is dead and she wanted to try and jump it with my Miata that is housed in her garage but she couldn't find the battery in it. I asked her to start the car and let it run and then I would walk her through getting to the battery. Well, the Miata would't start. Dead battery. Jim told me to go get her and either jump her car or take her to work. So off I go in the SUV.

On the way there, Jim calls and tells me that Chris' car won't start. The battery is dead and he tried to jump it using the only vehicle around, the lawnmower. So after trying to jump Jen's car, I end up taking her to work. Calling Jim to see if I needed to come back and get him but he had called a cab. Keep in mind that there is at least 15 miles in heavy traffic between Jenna and us. So long story short, I never made it to the doctor's appointment today. JIm pulled out my drain and talked to him on the phone. Instead I went to pick up Jim's car and take it to him and then to buy Jenna a new battery and then help Chris jump his car and drive it around.

Whew typing all that wears me out.

Rhonda how much snow did you end up with? And what did you do with your unexpected day off? We are supposed to get freezing rain after 3 AM until midmorning.

Laurie I found the picture. the bathroom looks great. I have been reading a book called "Inside of a Dog". It is a non-fiction book about what a dog thinks, feels, loves etc. Applying it to Sadie, I would say that the smell of the bathroom is very different. Dogs identify everything with the smell. And i don't mean the weet lilac room deodorizer. They like intense smells that we would think are disgusting.

Pat sounds like you have been having fun with the mini books cart and other free cuts. I got nothing done on Rome today and tomorrow doesn't look good either.

Lizzy hope the next few days fly by for you. I can't believe how fast this wedding is coming along.

Paula looks like you are in for some snow tomorrow. Hope Deb is doing better.

Well I need to get some office work done. I have most of things ready to pack. A few more odds and ends to add.

Hello ladies.

No pic yet Laurie. I did however, go look at your blog and I really like your journal pages. Have you done anything with those lately? And I really like the Christmas card design. Did you use that?

Deb is doing well. We had a nice visit and I made chicken noodle soup. The fashion show was fun. My friend's daughter was cute as can be.
Tonight was our Warm Winters Evening event. We have it at the college. There were over 600 women there. We had a speaker from Atlanta. It was a great night out.

I was hoping to have tomorrow off but monster house wants me to come and do a bit on the main floor tomorrow. They are having a dinner party tomorrow night. Tonight we are supposed to get that storm that Rhonda got, followed by freezing rain. Ugh!

Carrie!! What a challenging morning for you guys!! Did a alien spacecraft hover over your place and drain all the batteries??? Weird!
Sorry your missed your appt. I bet it it wonderful to be rid of that drain!!

Pat, you sure got a lot done this morning! Hope your errands went well.

Rhonda, what did you end up doing with your free day?? Does it look like it's back to work tomorrow?

I ordered some tupperware today. The have a couple items 65% off for some sale. Couldn't pass it up.

Lizzy, I would like to see the dress too please. :)

Hello from the frozen icy world of Ohio. We are coated in a quarter inch of ice. Accidents everywhere and it isn't even 7 yet. Schools are closed in the city and all surrounding areas. I wonder if the cars will even start. RollEyes

Paula if the alien spacecraft was anywhere near my house yesterday I probably would have jumped on. Boy that was a story. I should have taken some photos and scrapped it. Good to hear Deb is doing well. Godo luck with M house today.

Laurie I never thought to look at your blog. Guess I'll need to check that out. I did find that bathroom picture on Facebook though.

Pat I see the icing is heading your way. Stay safe.

I'll be heading out to the mall later. This morning I am updating Jim's iPad that he's never used and syncing it with his new phone. Then I need to finish anniversary card and photo collage for him. Anniversary is tomorrow. Then finish getting things packed up.

Stay warm and have a great day!

Good morning....

We ended up with about a foot of snow! Very pretty but so hard to get around in. They have closed all the schools again today. But I think I will have to go to work today. I spent about 5 hours shoveling out my driveway yesterday. I am a bit sore this morning.

I ended up doing paperwork and reading when I wasn't outside yesterday. I also made sugar cookies to take in to work today.

Carrie, you are still having your share of excitement and frustration. Hope all goes much better today even though you have all that ice. Stay safe if and when you get out on the roads. Just remember you will be in the warm and sunshine real soon. Happy Anniversary to you and Jim!

Paula, hope monster house goes real quick for you today. The warm winter evening event sounds interesting. What was the speaker talking on? It was certainly well attended. Glad Deb is doing well. MMMM-chicken noodle soup sounds wonderful. Especially in this cold weather.

Pat, did you make it out to the grocery yesterday. Hope you don't get all this nasty weather that seems to be moving your way.

Lizzy, I saw your post on FB - sorry you are not feeling too well. Hope it passes year quick. Take care of yourself.

Laurie, the pic did not show up. Glad Sadie is back to enjoying her room!

I am going to finish getting ready as I want to get an early start to work. Not sure how the drive will be. Stay safe everyone.

good morning. I don't want to jinx us, but it doesn't appear we will get much from the storm. "less than a trace" is what the report says and from the radar everything is north. I think we might get some rain. Carrie, be careful when you go out there. Happy anniversary tomorrow.

Last night I tried to tidy up my work table so I can maybe cut the titles for the society pages.
Then I need to make a plan for the 2012 gingerbread pages and start printing those pictures.
First I am off to the PO to mail the cfs box and the society newsletters.

Rhonda, I see you popped in while I was typing. I heard some of your snow totals on the news last night. Stay safe on the roads. Is it far to work? Whoa on the shoveling. That is a lot of good exercise, but I can see why you are are sore. I got another cemetery look-up yesterday. It is a small cemetery at a church and the date is more recent, so it should be easy to spot. I might do it while I am out, but it is supposed to be nice Sunday, so I might just wait.

Hello to everyone else. I am going to head to the PO, but I want to stop by Target on the way.
Hello to everyone and have a great day.

Good morning all. Up and moving.

We did get a couple inches of snow but I think the freezing rain missed us. It looks like it hit SE of us. Schools closed over there.

Be careful out there Carrie and Rhonda.

good afternoon. I got all my errands ran this morning, took care of a phone call I had to make about a hotel in Maine for August and have been working on page ideas the rest of the time. I was going to go do a couple of find a grave look-ups, but was afraid I would get caught in freezing rain. I would have been ok, so now I am wishing I had gone. Maybe Jim & I can get out first thing tomorrow. Rhonda, I have 4 I need to take care of in 3 different cemeteries. Would like to get them done and off my plate.

Paula, glad you were spared the freezing stuff. Hope the *M* house wasn't too bad.
Carrie, hope you got everything done today and are ready for your warm & sunny vacation.

I guess I better come up with a plan for dinner. Have no clue what might be in the freezer that will work.

good morning all..

Carrie, I am not sure when you are leaving but wising you safe travels and hoping you have a fabulous time. Take time to relax and soak up some of those warm sun rays!

Pat, hope you can make it to the cemeteries. I have a lot of fun looking through old cemeteries I would probably never visit unless a request came in. I have a few requests but they will have to wait until the snow clears a bit - probably would miss what I was looking for right now.

This morning I have hairapy and then in the afternoon, there are Hornets basketball games. So most of my day is planned. After attending the games, I think a friend and I will go out for a bite to eat. Last night after work I shoveled some more in the drive. I cannot get mail delivery until the circle drive is cleared. I have about 2/3rds of it done. May try to go out this morning a do a bit more. If not will get it done tomorrow. Haven't had mail since Wednesday. It is times like this that I wish I had a riding mower with a blade on it. I don't think I can put a blade on my new mowerSad . Of course we only get these big snows once in a while - about every 2 or 3 years.

I made it to work ok yesterday, but had lots of trouble in the parking area. Finally was able to get out of there and parked on the street. That is timed parking but they were not handing out tickets yesterday so that was good. They finally got the parking area cleared in the mid afternoon.

It is about 5* this morning but looks so pretty in the areas where the snow hasn't been disturbed. But I need to get out and fill the bird feeders again and fill the bird bath. Seems strange to see the birds bathing out there when it is this cold!

OK, need to get busy here. Will check in later.

good morning. We got lucky last night and while the roads were wet, the temps were right at freezing, so not as many icy spots.
Rhonda, one of the cemeteries I have a request for is a newer Jewish one. It is beautiful and BIG and I would have never gone there if I had not gotten a request. I forgot though, that their office is closed on Saturday, so I will have to do that one tomorrow.
Hope the Hornets have good games today and enjoy time with your friend.
While I could easily hunker down here at home today, I want to get other things taken care of, that require leaving the house.
I have much to do still to be ready for my crop on the 7th. I thought I had printed pics for the 2012 gingerbread decorating, but I was mistaken. I also have titles to cut and photo labels to print out for society pages. The titles are quick as it is just the location and the dates once I pick a font to use, which is probably why I put them off. I think I have way more kits than I will get done in 3 days, but maybe not.

I saw on FB, Carrie is off to sun and sand. Wishing her a relaxing time and safe travels.
What is everyone else up to this weekend?

Well, pending D passing his drug test he's going back to the casino. thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. As long as he hasn't had any lemon poppy seed muffins, he will pass it. So, our fixer uppering and renovations will continue :) Painting the master bath is next.

Lizzy, hope you are feeling better.

Paula, if you are heading home today, safe travels and good weather.

Carrie, enjoy the warmth and sunshine

Nancy, hope you are having a good weekend.

Good morning all..

Yes, Laurie, it looks like we are going to get a lot more snow. They are saying possibly 8 - 12" this time. UGH! But I will look on the bright side and be thankful for the moisture. Glad to hear the good news for D. Now you can enjoy the fresh look of the house! Will you start looking for a job?

Carrie, I saw the pic of the view from the room! I will think of that when the snow starts. Have a great time.

Paula, safe travels home today.

Lizzy, DD's dress is beautiful. She will be a beautiful brideBigGrin Are you still counting the days?

Pat, did you make it to the cemeteries?

Nancy, what have you been up to?

I decided to go pick up a few groceries this morning so whatever Mother Nature decides to do, I will be ready. The Hornets lost both games yesterday, but it was nice to bet out.

Hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday.

Good Sunday morning, friends. I am sick again, but hanging in. I took NyQuil both Friday and Saturday nights which helped. I entered all of my grades for my report cards yesterday and hope to get all of the comments finished up today. I have 20 left and am doing them in increments of 10 each.

I did email the photo of Sarah's dress to everyone except Pat whose email I don't have. Sorry, Pat. If you can send it to me as a PM on either here or FB, then I'll send it to you.

Laurie, I haven't counted down the days to Sarah's wedding; I have counted down the number of days I have left of working. I know that I have five more weeks of work before I go off track again. That actually is just 24 days because the last day is a holiday because it's Good Friday. But, who's counting? LOL

I will be very glad when this week is over. I have two after-school meetings this week which make life difficult because they give me little time to tidy my room or wrap things up because I have to race out of there. However, one meeting is really silly and my friend, Lily, and I scheduled to go to it then so we won't have to be there for the entire thing! (She was clever and figured out the best date to go.) The other one is about retirement!

The wedding plans are coming along really well. We have everything nailed down and all I have to do now is reserve the hotel rooms and then we are good to go. Well, that's not true. Terry and I need to get clothes. And, of course, I need to figure out when certain people are arriving so I know how many night to reserve their rooms!

Rhonda, I'm sorry the snow was so deep, but I know you really needed the moisture. It is too bad you cannot attach a snow plow to the front of your mower...but as you said, it's only every several years you have a snow so deep. Maybe you need to find someone to plow the driveway for you!

Pat, you be careful as you get the various storms. Stay inside and purge, purge, purge!

Same for you, Laurie! You are making great gains on your work...get the house to where you are enjoying it for the duration of your time in Rising Sun!

Paula, how was the wedding? I hope you had good roads to drive on. What else is going on?

Nancy, where are you?

Well, ladies, the report cards are calling my name. After that, I have to plan lessons at least for tomorrow. I know we will be finishing a writing, but I have to get moving on other things as well...so I've got to go here and press onward. Everyone take care. Laurie, of course, mum's the word on FL.

Good evening everyone!

Lizzy! Sarah's dress is perfect for her! She's going to be a beautiful bride and I can't wait to see the pics. Are you going with a floor length dress? I like how you said we can get the work done and enjoy our house while we are in RS. Sorry you aren't feeling well but it's good to hear that you are winning the report card battle.

Rhonda, hopefully this snow won't be that much. Sorry about the Hornet's losses but it's not whether you win or lose but how you play the game. If you enjoyed the games then that's what matters...at least that's what I tell myself LOL I will find out next week if I will be able to get unemployment. If I am able to get it, I will take it, still look for a job but maybe not as hard. That will give me time to continue to paint and get my house pretty.I have been applying online every day and nothing so far.

That's all for now. Hope everyone had a great weekend and that your Monday is a good one

Later!

good evening everyone.. it appears that everyone had a good weekend. It was sunny today, but we also had a period of wind gusts. Jim & I took care of all the find a grave requests. I just need to send a note to one person. I noticed she has a number of requests for NC and we will be going by two of the cemeteries this weekend, so we are going to try to do them for her. We won't have a lot of time to spend, so hoping they might be easy. Main thing is they are not out of the way.

I also got all my layout pictures printed and trimmed. Just need to work on solid cs for matting. I worked on the 4 birthday cards for March. These are the tea group I am in. Made them all the same and used all scraps from my stash. I need to cut some teapots for embellishments tomorrow, but all the other parts are cut and ready to adhere. Glad to have those almost off my plate also.

Lizzy, I messaged you on FB with my email. Sorry you are feeling sick again. Hopefully you can head it off. Glad you are almost done with report cards. Your work days are dwindling away.
No storms in our area right now. Just chilly temps. We have been known to have big snows in March, but not as many as in Feb though.

Rhonda, good you are looking at the positive side of your snow. It is definitely a lot to deal with though. Year before last (I think it was), we had back to back blizzards. OMG, I thought we would have snow until June. Last year and this, we have had hardly any.

Laurie, glad to hear things worked out for D and mum will be the word. Too funny about the poppy seeds. Have you got the mirror yet for the one bathroom? I did some purging today when I was looking for papers for the cards. I am tossing a lot into a box for youngest dgd's teacher.

Well, I am heading to bed. Didn't plan to stay up this late.

Good morning!

Pat, I stayed up too late too. :( I started a book in the car yesterday so I stayed up to finish it.
What part of NC are you going to be in? DS is flying into Raleigh Friday. He will be going to a open house about the program Katie is in.

Our trip went well. We had clear roads there and back!! The wedding was nice, they had it in a botanical garden. It was good to see some family we don't see often. Mostly it was the younger crowd though. (collage grads who are starting out their professional lives) We did stay until the music ended though so I guess we aren't too old yet. haha

Gotta get ready to head out to my mon. house.

Paula, glad the roads were good for your trip and nice to be able to catch up with family you haven't seen.
We are going to be in Jacksonville. Even though our nephew lives in Cary, we hardly ever go to the Raleigh area. This trip is for the Komen walk. Jim is walking with his cousins. Only one of them knows we are coming. It will be a surprise for the others.
I am going to get busy now. I need to find some breakfast first.

Good Monday morning, friends! Whew, what a weekend! Between sleeping as much as I could and doing report cards and school work, well, the weekend sped past. I told Terry that I am starting my next report cards now! LOL

The cold is better, but still hanging on. (What do I expect?) I'm sure it will linger for a week or so, then disappear. I got a text message from a teacher friend who may have had a heart attack yesterday. She is in the hospital now and they are doing tests. She had a horrible chest pain which lasted 5 minutes and went all the way through her chest to her back. She has had them before but this was by far the worst. She is one of the very best teachers at our school, but experiences major stress in pushing herself to be one of the best. I wonder if it is all worth it sometimes.

Well, anyway...not much to write about except to say hi and I'm alive and kicking. This week will be busy catching up on little things. But, maybe I will be caught up by the end of the week. Who knows. I have those two meetings after school but nothing too stressful, I hope. Anyway, take care...I'll try to check in later.

Hey Rhonda, which airport did you say you use? Since I have been looking at flights for Tay I thought I would check it out. Chi. to KC is not terrible.

DS is not going to NC this weekend so we canceled the flights. Ugh! He is going to a open house thing for the program Katie is in. They have another one scheduled for April (we just found out that fact today) so he will go then.
We can get a flight out of South Bend cheaper than we were going to pay for this weekend out of Chicago. You know how I love being in Chicago traffic!

Sorry to hear about your teacher friend Lizzy. That must be pretty scarey for her.
How did you do with the report cards?
Hey Lizzy!! We got a goodie bag in our hotel room. They had a note on it and put water, some candy and an assortment of chip type snacks.

We had SUNSHINE today. I think it might have made it to the 40s. DS and I chopped ice off the driveway today and he shoveled some of the slushy stuff that was melting.
Now we are under a winter storm watch. Freezing rain and then snow. It will be interesting to see what morning brings.

Laurie, did D get put back to work? I guess that means you will be losing your helper on the house projects.

I guess I will keep myself company today..la..la..la...

I did run to the bank. There are pellets falling out of the sky. It is very noisy but when it hit my windshield it was more like rain. When this freezes it will be a mess. If the snow comes on top of it, it may be a bit better.
DS is at band at the college. I am hoping it waits to freeze until he gets home.

I sent in my deposit today for the weekend crop in Nov. I guess I should pay the rest of my bills too. I do want to make up a pot of veggie soup. A nap is an option too. (not really...just sounds good)

Hi Paula, I have been checking here off and on. Raining lightly here and wish it would stay that way, but the winds are supposed to kick up. My head hurts from the front pushing through. I finally took a sinutab.
What kind of soup are you going to make? We are having chicken pot pie and salad. Today is a comfort kind of food day.

Hi Pat!! :)

I was planning on veggie soup but I remembered I have a roast in the freezer so if I can cut a chunk off it will be veggie/beef soup. Pot pie sounds good too.
Sorry about your headache. That weather can do a job on the sinuses.
It it trying to snow here now. Still kind of like pellets though. Crazy weather!!

Good evening everyone!

It's been raining here all day and it is supposed to turn to a snowy mix tonight. Not much accumulation..yeah! And Pat, I have a headache from the weather too. Paula, I took a nap. It was just one of those days.

Speaking of one of those days...we've had a lot of them lately LOL With this job which will start next week, things are finally starting to look up. I find out about my unemployment on Monday. Now the money that we have in our savings can be used to take care of the house and the move...not the bills. And our goal is to try to get out of here before winter but our true goal is next spring. We finally have the goals written down and the steps we need to take to reach that goal. yeah!

I got a call today from a lady that is opening a B&B for scrapping weekends not all that far from here. Someone I used to work with knows her and mentioned that I sold CTMH and she was wanting to talk with me. Don't know what about but I am going to call her back tomorrow. if anything, I can find out about the B&B and what they have to offer.

Paula, my Nephew asked for prayers for snow in MI so he doesn't have to go to school tomorrow. He has a test. This is a 32 year old LOL I think he's getting his wish over on the east side of the state. If they delay class, he said they usually delay it til 12:30...his class is at 11 so he's set with a delay too. Then they have spring break so he'll be able to study more before taking the test

Well that's it for now. Maybe I'll be back...

Later!
