I'm having a hard time finding videos of people using their CC. I've seen lots of old ones but hardly any new. I'm really looking for the best tips and tricks from some recent CC users.

Anyone, have any current or "tried and true" tips and/or resources? Thanks for looking!BigGrin

I got a cake mini for Christmas ($29.99 from Cricutmachine!) and used it for the first time this past weekend. I highly recommend Linda McClure's gum paste recipe!!! Google it and watch her Youtube videos. Her gum paste recipe is especially for electronic cutting machines. I made her recipe, let it rest in a sealed bag overnight, and rolled it and cut it the next day! It cut perfectly. I also tried to cut marshmallow fondant that I had made too. I had to roll it, put the sheets in the freezer before cutting and got just okay results.

I really really like the idea of using sugar cookie dough and cutting shapes with the cricut. so easy to make any shape cut out cookies fast. I saw where one demo put parchment paper right on her mat then the dough on that so when all cut she just lifted the parchment off the mat.........easy peasy.
