This info is only for Avast users. I'll address other anti-virus programs in a different thread.

F-Secure users see this thread: http://main.cricut.com/communit...le-logging-into-CCR.aspx
Zone Alarm users see this thread: http://main.cricut.com/communit...5_posts.aspx#post1379275

If you use Avast anti-virus on your computer and you are unable to login to CCR here's some instructions that may help.

(It appears that the problem is mostly happening with those that are running Windows 7 64 bit.)

There are two CCR program files that Avast is blocking. One option is to exit out of Avast when you're using CCR, but the safer option is to add those programs as an exception. Here's how you do that:

1. Close CCR!

2. Left click on the up arrow in the bottom right corner of your screen.

3. Left click on the Avast icon

4. Click on the Real Time Shields Menu, then the Behavior Shield option, then the Expert Settings button

5. Click on the Trusted Processes button

6. Click on the Browse button

7. Click on C: drive then Program Files (x86) then click the Open button

8. Select Cricut-Craft Room then click the Open button

9. Select CCRBridge then click the Open button

10. Click the Browse button again

11. Select Cricut-Craft Room then click the Open button

12. Click the OK button

13. Click the X in the top right corner of the Avast box

Now open CCR again and try logging in.

Narelle,

What would we do without you???!!!

After weeks of trying to get CCR to work and considering getting rid of Avast and buying antivirus software, you come up with the answer!

I'm so grateful and happy to have CCR back.

You a star.

Thank you.

I was able to get into CCR until I installed Adobe Air as my pc requested.

Then I tried to log into CCR and it just showed me the log in page.

I have Avast as my anti-virus. I followed the directions and can now log in to CCR again.

Thank you Narelle!!!!!!!

Do you have the same problem (logging in going nowhere) if you totally exit out of Avast before opening CCR?

Actually I could not find the F-Secure as easy as you mentioned - I use Charter Internet services and this "F-secure" feature was inside this program - so with a little seeking out I followed your steps after finding this inside what is called my "Charter Security Suite". If other people are using "Charter Communications" or another cable based internet service they may have the same issue when trying to find the "F-secure" feature. Thank you I can now access my files again! :)

Thank you for your help! Like others I had no clue why I couldn't login, but following your Anti-virus instructions helped me to get back into the program. The only other thing I would add, for the computer shy, is that I needed to restart my computer before opening CCR. Thank you again for helping and keeping it simple.

Thank you sooooooo very much for this post!!! I have been searching for the solution to this problem for way too long. I could never call customer service for cricut about this problem because I work during the day and by the time I get home they were already closed. Again thank you very much!
