I work at a day care. We have a small bulletin board where the weekly menu's are posted. It it rather plain. I would like to jazz them up a bit but am drawing a blank. The size of the board is about 2.5 feet square. It has to hold 2 weeks worth of posted menus. Each one is a laminated sheet of paper about 8x10". I would like to change it a few times a year. Nothing has been done with it in over 2 years. It's the cook's bulletin board and I have her permission to re-vamp it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sherry

Maybe your seasonal images could extend beyond the edge of the actual bulletin board, sort of like a border. . .
Large silhouettes for the menus to be posted in the centre of. . .
Creatures holding the menus . . .
Use carts like Speaking of Winter to make the Menu heading. . .

Why not cut images of things on the menu do you have the cooking cartridge or others that would work you can improvise with other cartridges, or do large silverware, table utensils, anything that will catch their eye. You could use circles and make chocolate chip cookies, abstract circles to make potatoe chips, cake, ice cream and throw in some healthy things for good measure. I think the kiddos would enjoy seeing your creativity. If you don't have In My kitchen, I would be happy to cut u some food stuff, just let me know what u need and size.

ohh PaperKrafter gave me an idea - put the menus on plates and make a place setting around it. You could use pretty paper or fabric to cover the whole board like a tablecloth.

well Lamabee, I like your ideas as well. How creative we can be when we brainstorm.
