Received the Cricut 4th of July offers email yesterday.

Why can't we in the UK not benefit from some of their exceptional prices?

Cricut Expression2 with 2 cartridges in USA $199.99 which translates to £128.53
UK price for the same Expression2 and cartridges here in UK is £233.95 which translates to $364.05

$ Difference is $164.06
£ Difference is £105.42

Elegant Cakes Cartridge
USA $17.76 translates to £11.41
UK £27.00 translates to $42.00

$ Difference is $24.24
£ Difference is £15.59

Who is ripping us off here in the UK - the importers or Cricut?????

Whilst I am on my rant why can't we have UK based Rewards?

Will be interested on any comments.

Because US money and the UK hold different value. UK costing more. Its like when I buy a pair of jeans. In the UK I can pay £60 and here its $60. Same price but I am using a different money. Its not about messing you over. Its how much money cost. When someone from the US visits the UK they pay almost double at times. £1 =$2 at times. Just like when someone from the UK comes here they can double the bank.

Oh also, remember you have to pay VATAngry Here in the US there isn't a flat rate tax (I think yours is 17%) we pay state tax, they run from free to about 8% depending on the state. So now if you add in your VAT and it being at 17% you pay less.

Recently bought a Cricut mini.
Before I purchased, I saw all the US offers for digital downloads and assumed they were available here, same as with silhouette. Even allowing for VAT, they are way more expensive on the UK site, and far more images available in US.

No special offers at all in UK, but I get all the US emails telling me of the great bargains available.
Not impressed.

I agree with the discussions re UK pricing. I am also on the mailing list, and am amazed at the US offered prices, why not here in the UK. I have mailed Cricut more than once on this topic but still await a reply. Come on Cricut UK - send us some Offers.
Huh

Hi dereke and mrgriffiths

I have tried to figure out why Scraptastic would say that us paying 17% (now 20%) VAT means we pay less.Confused

I have emailed provocraft again today asking why their products are so expensive over here. I won't hold my breath for a reply.

I also got vouchers with my vinyl purchased from Hobbycraft and I cannot even use them on the UK site although it says I can.Mad
