Hi! I've had my CC for about a year and still haven't taken it out of the box. My son's 3rd birthday party is next weekend. I want to cut the skull from Life's a Beach for cupcake toppers. Can you tell me what I need to buy to get started and get these cut?
Also, I read someone cuts cheese? What kind? Cheddar or deli cheese?BigGrin
Thank you!!

The first thing I would suggest is to click the below link and read the tips thread.

Since they are cake toppers for a toddler, I would make the marshmallow fondant and mix 50/50 with gum paste. You might have to add more gum paste than the homemade fonadant as it depends. Make sure your house is cool around 72 degrees might be okay as it depends. There are more tips that can help you in the below link.

You can cut just about any hard cheese whether it is from the deli or not. Cheddar is fine to cut as well as it has to have the right thickness but not too thick. With cheese, you want to chill it or freeze it for about five minutes or so, so the cheese will be a little harder than usual so you can get clean cuts. After you cut the cheese, you might want to put it in the freezer for about five minutes to firm it up some so you can remove it without messing up the cuts.

Hope it comes out well and let us see the outcome! :)
