Please help...newbie with a new Cricut personal...out of the box today...wanted it for cutting material...I've tried with just cotton on the cutting mat, and also vilene backed cotton, but the machine is not cutting through the material, just pulling it off the mat. so disappointed at this point (its cutting glittered paper brill!!), as I bought it for my quilting projects.Crying

The fabric has to be stabilized on something like Wonder Under or Heat N' Bond.

Freezer paper might work - I think I have seen it with the freezer paper ironed on to both sides of the fabric.

Do some google searches - or search on these boards too. Should also be some YouTube videos out there on cutting fabric also.

FWIW - when I have cut glittered paper, my blade got really dull....really fast.
