DeeScraps, oh, now your talking right up my alley, lol! LOVE these colors together! BigGrin

Well, no gray, and I did add blue, but this is the closest to the add colors I could do on this card!

Shelbywoo...I loved all 3 of your example cards, your choice of papers and that adorable image. Great Halloween one. I love purple and green together!

Sandy...great card, but it's really frustrating that when I click on the image to make it bigger, it keeps it the same size. Then I can't close it unless I get off the board and get back on!!!! Is anyone else having this problem? That's a cute stamp you used.

Bingolady...Lovely card. I like how you did the embossing and used the border punch. I don't think it's upside down, you can put it any way you want too...and that way looks good to me! The colors look beautiful. What a fabulous Christmas Card. Great paper.

Dee

It sure is great not to have to type in the code to post!

I needed to make a B'day card for my adult niece and she is pretty special to me, so I wanted to make an extra special card for her. I really liked #1 Sketch, so this is what I came up with...I wanted it kinda Blingy for her!

My #1 Sketch Card:

Leaves - Flower Shoppe Catridge
Embossing - Devine Swirls CB folder
Flower - Pagoda Cartridge
Sentiment - CTMH Stamp from "4 My Friend" Colletion
Pink Cut - Accent Essentials Cartridge
Heart Border - Martha Stewart Punch
Heart Corners - Fiskar Corner Punch
The flower is made from nine layers of cardstock which I sprayed with Silver Pearl Mist. I used "Diamonds"(quotation marks!!) for the flower center and embellishing, glittery pink heart metal Brads, and sheer striped ribbon for the border and Bow. The flower got sorta squished when I scanned it, but it is very three-diminsional and the white cardstock has a very dainty floral sheen to it, but it doesn't show-up very well on here.
TFL!!BigGrin

OOOOH!! The point of the heart tore off!!!OhMyGod

Shelby, I hope you don't mind me posting this card on your week but I made it for Jingle Belle's only to find its the wrong weekBlushing and they have moved on. It is a 5x7 and I used the same stamp for the topper as I did for the back ground. I thought it looked quite crisp. You did say make a holiday card! Any how now I am off to use yours. TFL

Well I have been off and made my card using sketch #2. This is a 4x6 card blank covered in some free paper and more from the set was used to make the banners. I cut using PS the sold and stamped my image and heat embossed using a blue/lavender powder. This card is for my Aunt and Uncle who have been trying to sell their property for almost 2 years now. They moved in to their new house 1 1/2 years ago and believe it or not the people who are buying it were one of the very first to come and view back then!!They are getting a bargin as its price has been dropped by nearly £40k. Still its gone now and they can truly retire now. TFL

My #2 Sketch Card:

Banner - Have had for a long time from a card-making Kit
Embossing - CuttleBug "Houndstooth" folder
Green Tab - I hand-cut and embosseed it.
I added buttons and a bow. After I embossed the pink center I dabbed it with green stamping ink and used my Edge Distresser around the edges for a little interest. Sorry, no Cricut
