I called PC customer service and they were able to connect to my computer to try and help. After about an hour+ they determined that my desk top computer's anti-virus was blocking the cricut sync program.

I have Avast which does allow Cricut sync, but we then discovered that I also have Comodo Anti-virus which blocks it and there was no way around it. So, what did I do? Purchased a laptop and started fresh. Downloaded Avast anti-virus!

My suggestion to you...call PC and if its not your anti virus blocking it, then they most likely will be able to help. Good Luck

Windows firewall was blocking my Cricut Sync software. I turned it off and did the update and turned it back on. I have Avast as well and I didn't have to make any adjustments to it before updating. Hope this helps someone else and saves you from having to call PC Support! If you're like me you work during their hours of operation making it very difficult to call for support.
