Hello!

Has anyone used the Recollections glitter paper in their E2 before? How does it cut, does the glitter get everywhere, what settings did you use?

I picked up a few pieces to work on a fall banner and a Halloween banner, but at two bucks a pop I'm scared to use it!

I haven't used the Michaels stuff but i've used the 99cent super glittery paper from Joann's which seems similar and you do get glitter on the mat but not horrible. I'll still use it over real glitter. lol. I used it on my E. I do know I used Multi-cut but I don't remember what my blade, pressure or speed were.

Good to know with the multi cut; I thought so since it seems pretty thick, almost like it's backed with a cereal box or something. Do you multi cut more than once?

When I would suggest a x3. I did x2 for sure. I will go grab a scrap of it shortly and check my settings.

I used a brand new mat, new blade, blade at 5, pressure at high, speed at Med, multi-cut x2. Depending on how new your blade is and how detailed your cuts are I might do x3.

I have used this paper before, and the same settings as Cowgirl....multicut 3. Unless I am using a brand new mat, I tape the paper down with blue painter's tape. I had it move on me once on a mat I thought was sticky enough, but was not. The cut was particularly detailed, and the blade got stuck and just pulled the paper right up. After I have used any glitter paper in my AE2, my DH always blows it out with canned air, including the blade housing. And, I scrub my mat with hot water and a 3M green scrubbie or the Mr.Clean Magic Eraser. HTH. BTW, every so often the glitter paper does go on sale. I always stock up then. The Recollections paper is what cuts the best in my machine, whether the glitter kind, plain or printed. GG

Isn't 'Recollections' cardstock just 'DCWV' using another name?

I have used DCWV glitter cardstock in my Cricut Expression. I multicut 3 times, speed 3 or 4 and pressure 5. It cut beautifully but totally ruined my near new mat. I now keep a seperate mat for glittery projects.

I love me some canned air and painters tape!! I live in a dust bowl so I'm always blowing my machines with the canned air :)

You know, that's a really good question...I'm not sure but it makes sense.

Thank you for the tips as well.
