I would like bags, traditional colors. No neon hahaha

Hi Denise! I'm so excited! Bags are great. I'm pretty open to colours and style. I'll be using them for adults and/or kids, so pretty much anything! I'm looking forward to this!

Help ladies!
I started one of mine today and am having a little bit of a problem. The little bags are folded on both sides and I'm not sure how to go about decorating with the fold, I guess work around it or above it? Maybe something above and below the folds. Anyone else having this issue?
I looked at the bags from the last swap and they're all so smooth, no folds. Are the backs decorated too?
La

I may have just answered my own dumb question, You used a piece of cardstock that covers the whole thing. Jeesh!

Lauraa - I either put a piece of cardstock over the whole thing and/or put my cuts above the fold line. I usually make the back relatively simple because of the folds.

Hi Laura - You can cut a panel that fits above the fold and glue that on there. In some cases, I crafted the entire panel BEFORE I glue it to the bag...If you use a little "muscle" you can make and additional crease down the center of the Bottom of the bag which gives you an equal amount of room to work on each side of the back. We decorate back and front, although the back does not have to be as elaborate as the front. I usually make the back with "flat" pieces and do the 3 dimensional stuff on the front only. Photos are deceiving...the folds are there, just covered up with "BLING" lots of times ! Hope this helps ... have fun with it ~

I see you answered my questions here so you don't have to answer the PM! I was going to make cards ONLY because I need the practice, so it's up to you!

Hi partner! I am at my parents' place this weekend, but hoping to start on my sets when I get back to town. I have 2 sets already decided upon, I just have to get them made. Still debating on the third set though. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hi Ladies ! I know we have lots of time left, but thinking about the week of Thanksgiving and all that I will have to do to prepare dinner, I am going to try to have mine done and mailed in the next 2 weeks....I want to be able to go shopping on Black Friday ! Woot

Laura, I dont know what you are having problems with "sticking" but have you tried a hot glue gun ? And I also find that the 3M brand "Tacky glue" which is in a red plaid package, works really great on almost everything. I even use it on beads and stickpins. Some people use something called "6000" glue but I find that it really stinks up the packages like a gasoline smell...I dont like it. Some glues are just not meant for paper.

Have a wonderful weekend !

It's paper on paper. Just too shiny and delicate I think. I will follow the advice everyone gave. Use a piece of cardstock and then glue that to the bag.

JCI and waiting on Sandy to make her appearance. I have a good handle on these and as a matter of fact have the bags already done. Hoping we do not lose power, but it looks like this storm is going to hit us with a vengeance. Have dog food, nonperishable food, water and doggie insulin so we are good to go. Whoever is in the path of this storm, be safe and sensible.

We fared much better than a lot of people under Sandy's wrath; my heart breaks for those who lost so much.

I made my first bag and hated it so I'll be moving on to plan B hopefully tomorrow. I'm hoping I have much better luck with plan B because as of now, there's no plan C! LOL

Checking in. I have one bag and tag finished another one almost done, just need to glue the papers to the bag. Then one more to go, I have an idea of how I want to do it, hopefully I can pull it off.

COB -- you crack me up. I hope plan B works for you also.

I hope everyone in Sandy's path is safe. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is or has been effected by her.

We had massive rain and winds...sustained at 78 mph at one point. We lost power at 8:20 last night and it came back on at 5;30 this morning. My family laughed when they found out I was crafting by flashlight at 2:30 this morning. On the plus side I was able to get quite a few things done craft wise without interruption. I had the forethought to cut out a few things with my E2 so I was able to finish some cards and made matching envelopes. Hope everyone else is doing well.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE !! Well, the doorbell has finally gotten quiet...not too many "Trick or Treaters" this year...
I am about half-way done with my bags and boxes...working on some tags and cards...I am making small tags and A2 size cards for this one.

We were very lucky and did not feel the storm here in FLorida. I pray that everyone in our group is safe and sound...I realize that some of you may be delayed...but you still have over 4 weeks to go, so hopefully everyone will receive their items on time.

BIG WAVES to my partners !! HAPPY HAUNTINGS !!

Thank you Sherrie for the beautiful vintage style bags that were in today's mail!
Love I love them! Love Love the front of the nutcracker one, how you made it like a card. COOL!

I will post pictures as soon as I am able, which may not be until next week.
Thanks again,
Laura
