That is a true statement about the craft room, yes it is a free online designing program. However, it requires an interest connection in order to cut with the program. Plus it also depends on what machine you own when trying to use the craft room. It is to my understanding that the craft room isn't compatible with all cricut machines.

I have used both the cricut and gypsy. The gypsy offers on the go portability. You don't need to have an interment connection in order to cut. Just plug the gypsy into your machine and cut. When I used the craft room I kept losing my interment connection or it cut extremely slow. When I called PC I was told that was a known issue with people who had AT&T as an Internet provider.

The gypsy doesn't require a separate device in order it use the program (computer or laptop). Both CCR and Gypsy has advantages and disadvantages, I prefer the gypsy. In all honestly, I never leave ho,e without it, lol. I sit in the car and design layouts, cards and projects then come home ready to cut!!

I also have an iPad and downloaded all my cartridge handbooks, which makes it super easy to browse the handbooks while using the gypsy on the go.

PC took away the web version of craft room.

Good luck I hope this helps.

Seriously?? PC took away the web version???? Oh for crying out loud. What next!
I really like CCR, and I'm going to be at my daughters house next week for a few days and wanted to play in it. I figured I could just sign in, design, and then when I got home all my stuff would be on my laptop application.
