I'm wanting to purchase a Cricut, I've never had one and I'm really confused on which one to get. The main thing I'm wanting to make is vinyl! So I can make signs/wall decals etc. I want to be able to type in a saying, using a font of my choice and then make it different sizes. Any advice is appreciated Thank you! ~CassieBigGrin

Cricut doesn't work that way, all Cricut machines use cartridges, so the font would have to come from one of those carts, there are hundreds of fonts but if its not one that you intend to use it wont work for you. At the top of this page click on New to Cricut some information there. All of the machines will cut vinyl, i love working with vinyl been cutting sayings and putting it on mugs so much fun.

I always recommend the Expression, although all of them will work on vinyl. There are lots of great font carts to choose from. I would get a few you love to have on hand.

Hi everyone!
I am a newbie and am also going to purchase a cricut & despite doing much research i am still none the wiser.i mostly want fairly large lettering, numbers to fit onto fairly standard size fabric bunting.i will in fact be mostly cutting fabric, felt etc,.
I am thinking the cricut expression would be most suitable but ANY advice would be most welcome as i don't want to make an expensive mistake. Also, does the expession come with any pre loaded cartridges?if so what do they contain??
many many thanks in advance.
