Hi everyone,
I don't have much $ and hate buying things that do not work for me.
I need your help with a couple of things please.

1.What kind of light colored inks(yellows/whites/silvers) are best for dark paper(blacks/ blues/greens)? Mainly for background stuff, but I'm interested if they work well for small detailed stamping also.

2. Are glimmer mists as shiny as glitter glue? I like using glitter glues on small pieces, but they're a pain. Are the glimmer mists easier and will I get nice results? Does the paper curl as much? Are different colors worth it and noticable?

Thank you!
Laura

Sorry Idk about the first question. But Glimmer mist will curl the paper a bit. It is lighter than glitter glue. I make my own glimmer mist by putting a small amount of metalic paint and a drop of stamp pad ink in a spray bottle and some of water, the more water the less color. I like gold and blue or gold and red. Copper is good too.

I can only answer for the 1st. I've had pretty good luck with the Chalk inks from Studio G. I'll have to check what type of White I have. I know its Recollections brand but I don't know if its dye or chalk or what. I'll come back and let you know.

I buy my inks & glitter glue at Wal-Mart for .97 cents in the craft dept (not al have this). I make my own glimmer mist by using paint with glittery look to it,warm water & glue. Put it in a misting bottle & shake it up & spray away. I use my heat gun to make it shimmer then. There are lots of good how-to-videos on YouTube to show you easy ways to save money on these things.
