I'm new to cricut and craft room. I have a penguin image from winter frolic. Ive selected it and put it on the mat. However, I want to cut the hat, the lollipop and the penguin from different colors. But all three images are linked together on a layer and I cant see any way to split them. How do I do that?

it can be done and this is how I would do it. First copy and paste the 3 part image 2 times. Now you should have the copies on your mat. Click on the first and select "Hide Contour" hover over each part that you don't want of the 3 parts until the lines turn red and click. This will hide that part. click on exit and repeat hiding the 2 shapes taht you don't want on the 2 remaining copies. When finished you should have 3 separate images indepenant of each other that you can now move around on the mat and then place your 3 different papers accordingly.

Hope this makes sense.

put the different cuts on different parts of the mat and place the paper you want accordingly on the grid. that's the best thing about ccr....you know exactly where everything is cutting.
