I am updating descriptions in word processor and will transfer here.

8 per person
8 weeks
due to me April 5, 2013
_______________________________________________________________________________________
Some Ideas for Items - it doesn't have to be from this list, but you get the idea.

Deco Squares: 2 per person if 2.25” x 2.25” or larger, otherwise 3 per person at 2”x2”. Each square to have two embellishments (inking edges does count as one, same with spraying with glimmer mist or something similar)

Photo Mat requirements: 1 per person if it can hold a standard 4x6 photo (must show at least 1” around the photo); 2 per person if designed for smaller photos.

Paper Piecing requirements: 4” in length or width. (it can be larger, but no smaller please). At least four pieces. If you choose something that is only one piece, remember you can add to it. Ex: I created a three piece flower and added a garden sign for the fourth piece. As long as they are attached, it counts.

Embellishment Baggie: This is an option for all weeks, however, please don’t do more than two per round. This is for those weeks when time is just getting away from you. Minimal requirements are: 1 yard of fiber or ribbon, 2-4 buttons (depends on size), 4-6 brads (size affects), plus three more items (not all the same) of your choice. Ex: sending three pieces of bling does not count as three items, but as one.

License plate requirements: One per person if dimensions are at least 2” x 4”; otherwise 2 per person. Two layers and either 4 brads or other items required for the corners. Please be sure to round the corners like real license plates.

Bead Spray Requirements: At least 3 beads and 2 flowers required. Bead Spray to be a minimum of 5” in length or width.

Mini-Album page – at least two embellishments, minimum size 3” x 3”

Greeting Card – if you create a standard size of 4.25” x 5.5” card, no envelopes are required. Please include an envelope if you create any other size.

Paper clips - two of the jumbo (2.25" clips) per person, three of the standard size per person, four of the miniature per person, one of the super size (over 3") per person. Note: when assembling, if you are not using hot glue, please use a glue dot on both sides of the paper clip, otherwise they tend to come apart in the mail and stick to all sorts of things.

_______________________________________________________________________________________
Same as earlier rounds - Round 5 was terrific

Week One - Hexagon Shapes. Create something that is either a hexagon shape or contains hexagon shapes. This is open to interpretation. Based on the wonderful projects submitted in the prior round, there are no specific requirements other than as listed above.

Week Two - White. Any item, but white should be the prominent color.

Week Three - Graphic 45. Create a paper item using predominately Graphic 45 papers. You can use cardstock as well.

Week Four - String. No WTHeck things here Cursing Blushing Blink BigGrin String isn't as tough as it sounds. Incorporate something like bakers twine, embroidery floss, yarn, etc - something stringy.

Week Five - Squirrel Appreciation Day is January 21st. Let's create something with squirrels in mind. No need to limit to just paper piecings - the sky is the limit - there are many types, sizes, foods, living quarters, etc..

Week Six - Four. In honor of the four leaf clover, create something that has to do with the number four or has four of something or maybe even four inchies. Your choice, just think back to Sesame Street days and what types of things relate to the number four.

Week Seven - Choice. This is the week to try something new. You can create anything you like for the group (other than food - sorry) and have fun doing so. It is the perfect time to try that new tool or technique you have in your stash and want to give a go (who knows, maybe those no longer brand new gamsol supplies get a good look this month ROFL or maybe the new stamp set or that new stack that just 'had' to be purchase or better yet - some new folding technique or wonderful new cutter, etc.. Or am I alone in this buy it and not yet tried it department?)

Week Eight - Take it easy and create a journal item to coordinate with one of the previous weeks. It can be an individual item or it can have a pocket - no requirements other than it must be 3" in at least one direction

Rule reminders from last round:
Rules/FAQ’s

1. Please mail on time. I understand that life happens. If it happens to you, please be sure to communicate, communicate, communicate. You can send me pm’s or emails, but please keep me informed if you are running late.

2. Include return postage equal to what you send plus about $1 more in stamps. Some ladies like to include $ .05, .10, .03 stamps so I can be as exact as possible – or use flat rate priority. Even cash is ok, but be aware that I only return change if it is $ .25 or more.

3. Sign up is for all 8 weeks. If you live near a buddy and want to split everything, that is fine, but I expect everything in a single mailing and labeled as if it is from a single individual. You will only receive the items back from a single spot (that is all you send as well - items as if you are participating on your own)

4. FOLLOW ALL RULES regarding swap make up. I post them so we are all on the same page when it comes to how to create our items.

5. Use quality cardstock or multiple layers if it isn’t great cardstock. This swap works well to use up your stash, but remember you need to do multiple layers if the cardstock is thin to make a quality piece. Only send work you are proud of and would use for yourself.

6. Patterned paper is allowed – but same as above. If it is thin, you will need to use more than one layer.

7. Two layers, minimum, are required for all projects.

8. Specific rules for specific pieces can be found under each heading (ex: sizes for photo mats, etc.)

9. Embellishments: each piece is to be embellished twice. What counts? Almost anything – inking the edges, bling, ribbon, glimmer mist, glossy accents, flowers, buttons, rub-ons, etc.. The only one that doesn’t – flat stickers.

10. Mailing date – please mail to arrive to me by date indicated above. DC is nice, but not required.

11. Ask any questions you have. Some weeks I may have limited access to internet, but I usually manage to check at least once a day.

12. HAVE FUN! Be creative! Try something new!

thanks ladies! I have you both down.

As I mentioned - if you are on the list above - you have a reserved spot unless you let me know you prefer to skip this round (I know it is a lot of work and sometimes life things have to take over for a bit).

Either way - here is to another great round! We have a few weeks breather right now

Yay another round. I found this last round, with the exception of the kid and his fractured arm, surprising easy once I decided what to do. Thanks for adding me.

His last day for pain meds was today and so far so good. He takes Advil when he needs to and as long he does not move the arm drastically he is fine. Still sleeping in the recliner though and the ortho said he should be able to lay on his bed with his shoulder propped by pillows soon. He is a trooper though. A few years back I had shoulder surgery for Adhesive Capsulitis and I was a much bigger baby...lol

Or am I alone in this buy it and not yet tried it department?)

Rest assured you are not. I bought a Bind It All last January and have not even opened it yet. I have had alcohol inks for about two year and tried them for the first time yesterday. I have a bunch of stamps that I have never used. I could go on and on ...

I think my sew easy is one of those things, that once I find all the heads, is going in the free to good home pile. I have long since used the twine, but have the heads, mat and needles and the thingy the heads go on, so if anyone knows anyone who wants one, let me know.

I haven't even gotten an idea on the hexagons yet. The obvious stop sign is all that comes to mind. Maybe I should ask my daughter BigGrin

To be honest, it is something we are using for my daughters wedding favors, and it fit well with the theme, so a change of colors and viola.....

Oh my goodness, Denise - you are totally moving!

Ditto on Laura's thought - I am curious too!

Glad to hear I am not the only one who buys and doesn't use. I do usually open and look and try once (I did with Your Story - though I use the laminator part more often since it heats quicker than my old one).

Oh my - my bind it all gets tons of attention. I love that little machine. True, I use it more to bind home school stuff than scrappy stuff, but I do use it a ton. I thought the your story would take over, but it hasn't - yet BigGrin

Good Morning Everyone!

Last package from round 5 is still making its way here. Once it arrives, I will swap everything out - I will post notice on that thread.

For today, anyone who has provided me with an email address (or indicated they would like an emailing of the requirements for this swap) - it was sent earlier today.

If you would like a copy via email, just drop me a note to scraprageous@gmail.com. I know some of us have had issues with the messageboard (I cannot log in unless I use a particular browser Huh Glare ), so I don't mind - anything to help with communications!

Have a wonderful day.

Are you up for a challenge?

We do have an opening for this round - it isn't tough, but it is does require some imagination. You make 8 swaps per week for 8 weeks. See the first post for detailed description and you can ask any questions.

Any takers?
