I left work early today because we had over a foot of snow and I just couldn't take it anymore
when I got home (13 miles south) we only had about 3". Got to love New England weather.

Penny, I loved New England weather for the first seventeen years of my life!! I know just what you mean...

Wish I could find a "Letter to the Editor" that Mark Twain wrote when he was living in CT, that my hometown newspaper reprinted, about New England weather. One thing I do remember, was that he had put a tin roof on part of his new house because he loved to hear rain on a tin roof, then claimed the weather was too contrary to rain on that part of the house!! I think he was the first to say, "If you don't like the weather, stick around for an hour, it'll change"!LOL

Haha! I love that NGGG!
We had that snow a few days ago Penny and now it's all melting with the rain.(we have a metal dryer pipe, so it's sort of like a tin roofBigGrin)
I hate this part of the year when everything is gray and there's dirty snow and mud everywhere. I DO like when it's all gone and the green comes back though, so it's all worth it.

My area lucked out and only got a dusting of snow yesterday morning - and it's now gone. Suppose to be a beautiful, sunny weekend and I am SO looking forward to that! I am so ready for spring weather! And we've really not had that much winter as far as snow and ice - but way too many dreary, cold days with no sun.

Have fun crafting this weekend! Time to perk up! lol

If you want to smell fresh cut grass, come on down! We have to cut pretty much every other week all through the year... less in summer because it's the "dry season".

On other fronts... WE HAVE A NEW FURBABY!!!!!

I couldn't stand being home alone so much, so I talked DH into going to the local Petsmart and Petco , where the no -kill shelters have furbabies to adopt each weekend. We found a beautiful terrier mix, colored like a tiny Dobie, who had been at the shelter since Christmas Crying Crying Crying
She shivered in my arms all the way home, slept in the bed with us last night (which DH says will not last, but it was her first night), and walks pretty on a leash, without pulling. She is very quiet, doesn't bark much, and takes treats from our hands without letting us know she has teeth!

We have named her Bonnie Belle (pretty girl in two languages!), and we are totally in love!!!

I will post a pic of Miss Bonnie Belle as soon as I get one on my computer.

Then, I have to go to the craft room and clean up, because I can't get my baby bug to cut, and will have to break out the Big E and my 12x12 mats. Then, I have to transfer what I have in my G to 12x12 mats and reconfigure, or I may just take the time to plug in the physical carts and cut "from scratch". In either case, I have to rework all my cricut cuts and rework my projects. And work like crazy, because I got behind while Princess was in "hospice care" and after she died, and now I have less time than ever because I'd forgotten how much time an active furbaby needs!

thank you all for having posted this past week and checking in.

Glad to hear that most of you are slowly working on this, making headway. And atleast you know you still have a bunch of weeks before the DD arrives. So no need to panic. (yet)

If anyone needs any help with anything, please ask or PM me.

I've been extra preoccupied with other matters lately (nothing negative) and just not as chatty, but I do check threads daily.

Schools all got out early today due to snow/iciness on its way! good grief, yet another storm....

Hoping it fizzles out and doesn't create too many driving hazards!

Okay.... DH took some pics of Bonnie and I'll try to post one here. If that doesn't work, i'll try to get the one from my phone....
It shows up now. I'll have to log out and come back in to see if it really worked, or the MB is just messin' with me again...

Lauraa, all the vet could guess was that she is mostly terrier.... which I can't argue with, since after we put her in her bed at night, she comes to my side of the bed an sleeps underneath it!!! (terriers love to go under, and down holes....). The funniest moment for me so far was the day I took her to the vet to get checked and start her heartworm medicine, as we left the vet's office she came nose to nose with a big dog ( at least twice her size) with the exact same coloring!!! It was like a funhouse mirror!!

Thank you also so much for the pet memorial site you offered. It gave me a chance to share my loss, and that is what grief is all about. Now that I am home all day with a little loving friend, I need to get back on track for this swap!! It will be so much fun!!

Happy Easter everyone!

Yep, one month to go.

Now that we are in the final month....try to post regularly and give some updates on your progress please. I always feel like the middle month drags but then all of a sudden the last month arrives and it's a mad dash to the finish line! And then I always ask myself why I didn't accomplish more that middle month! lol

If anyone is stuck on an idea, please just ask or send me a PM!

I have some swaps to work on this month so my creative mind will be in high gear this entire month.

Time to start having some fun with this swap!

The first person to post a sneak peek picture of what they made for Group 1, will receive something created by me, relating to one of the directives in Group 1!

Sneak peek picture = doesn't need to be the entire item showing, as you may not want to give too much of a hint of who your secret partner is! But it must at least show enough for me to be able to look at it, and say "oh she created something for the butterfly directive!"

Let the fun begin!
