When you in CCR I think if you put an image on the mat and click on cut it will prompt you to see if you want link our cartridge.

You can't link your carts to the Expression itself, but you can link them to your Cricut account using Cricut Craft Room. Then if you're using CCR to design and cut you won't need to Insert the carts into the Expression. But if you're using the Expression by itself you'll still need to insert the carts to cut your design.

If you are using CCR then scroll through the All Cartridges list and highlight one of your carts. You will see a Link button below the keypad. Click that and follow the instructions from there.
