Amy and Candy, I am sorry you are going through tough times right now. Amy, I hope things settle down for you and maybe the camping will help you get some peace. Candy, I hope you get a job soon. I am sure there is something even better out there for you.

On Friday as we were starting to clean the house for Easter dinner, I decided it was time I had a craft space, so we spent most of the weekend reorganizing the family room so that the back corner is mine, I figure it's going to take a while to get another job (fingers crossed that it's before my salary continuance runs out) so I might as well be able to craft with company and TV.

Candy,I am so sorry to hear that. It sounds like it is a good thing for right now to be able to get crafty stuff in order. Awesome.

QOD: Do you spend more time organizing, shopping for supplies, or actual crafting?

A few years ago, I spent hours, days, weeks organizing my "stuff". But since then I've naturally collected more stuff and every so often I have to take time to re-organize - but it's usually something I can do in a short period of time.

I think I spend more time shopping as I love to hit all the stores up town and see what I can find that is the perfect shade of color or the perfect item for my partner. That window shopping takes time! Then I end up thinking about it thruout the week and end up needing to go back to pick up the one thing that I didn't buy and then realized it would be perfect for a certain project I'm about to start.... So that means another trip to town and another afternoon of window shopping all over again! lol You never know, might be new bargains to be found so I just gots to look!!!

So yes, I spend way too much time shopping....

Yea, I think I sometimes spend more time shopping than crafting, but moving my craft area to the basement should give me more crafting time and being unemployed will definitely give me less money to spend Glare

Hello to my partner the shopperWub

I craft more than I organize unfortunately. I will work in the messiest mess, until I can't find anything and then I know it is time to clean up and orgainize . As for shopping, I am more of an impulse shopper, and grab stuff while I am out and about. I think I am good at using what I have and don't make planned shops very often.

I used to spend my time shopping but now that I am joining more swaps I do more creating... I found out a great tip. Caffinee actually told me this: Go shopping in your craft room. I don't know what blog she found it on but the lady has a basket and she goes around her craftroom putting things in the basket that she may need for a project. I thought that was cool because I sometimes don't look thoroughly enough for supplies in my own craftroom and I have a lot of stuff that should be used. So that is the method I am going to use from now on before I shop anywhere else.Smile

I've been doing this for the last couple of swaps and it's been a good way for me to look through my stash and something I find things that I brought that would be "prefect" BigGrin

You aren't the only one that's been on a shopping binge! My son owed me some money from this past year while he was laid off....so, being back to work, he paid me up and so I promptly did some shopping! lol

My PO lady is going to earn her keep this week - thanks to me! lol Luckily she drives a mail truck to do her deliveries, so it's only a few steps from the street to my porch!

You checked in so all is perfect.BigGrin

Does anyone have any crafting plans this weekend? I just gave a craft lesson to a lady I used to work with, then I finished up my paint brush - woo hoo. Now on to finishing this swap. I am inspired now. Tomorrow is another day though- about time to go night night. Have a good day all. k

I haven't forgotten about you Melody! Like Lori says a few posts before this one....being in so many partner swaps right now makes it hard to remember who belongs where from swap to swap. I must confess that about a week ago I had to go to each swap and check out the first page to match up my partners to the correct swap. lol

I'll do better once my April swaps are completed and you are my only May swap Melody, so fear not!
