I'm new to cricut expression 2. I want to make some animals from the create a critter cartridge. i know how to set layers and cut them...my problem is this:

1) take the squirrel for example: when I cut layers 1, 2 and 3 & the shadow, i set it on 3.00 inches for all of it. why does it not match up when i try to put the squirrel together?

2). are ALL the layers supposed to be cut in the same inches?

3) does setting it to true or relative size matter?

please help me understand how to match up each of the animal layers perfectly! thanks.

Layering problems are usually due to using REAL or TRUE size as opposed to RELATIVE size.

REAL or TRUE size will tell your Cricut to cut each image the size that is on the dial. Those images will not layer properly.

Use RELATIVE size for all images you want to layer. RELATIVE size tells your Cricut to cut the images in proportion to each other.

THANK YOU for your help! my cricut life is now so much easier! I tried it out and got what I needed!

MY NEXT QUESTIONS IS:

how come sometimes the picture moves to the bottom of the grid after I cut something? how do move my picture anywhere on the grid I desire?
