I'm not really following any blogs at this time. I have been reading and going to Jillee's website One Good Thing by Jillee ever since I found it on Pinterest. It is very addictive for the do-it-yourself-er.

On another note - I was at Michael's and inspiration struck.....

In the $1.50 bins they had the smaller paper mache dress forms (torso-no stand)
In the $2.00 bins they had bird cages - yes beautiful round bird cages with a dome top that opens - only $2....in red, black and silver

Any one interested in doing one or the other or both for future round(s)?

No Michaels - omg I felt bad because I live next to a small one. Within 3 miles I live near a Michael's, JoAnns, and CraftWarehouse. THe Craftwarehouse is a good one and where I mostly go. However, it seems all their selections are limited when it comes to things I want, so I end up buying online too.

I have quite a few unpublished projects, mostly banners.
I do like to check out Magnolia world tho on FB and once in awhile pinterest.

JessieG how is that baby girl?
Also I pm'd you with one more question.

Dh is almost in total remission,BigGrin just has a little cancer left
in his collar bone where he fractured it initially.
We will be headed back to Ia city sometime next week for rd 2
on the stem cell transplant.
Then hopefully home in time for ds's wedding
May 4th.

to do just that. I added 3 banners and a door hanger so feel free to stop
by my blog and let me know what you think.

We have Hobby Lobby and JoAnns. Never been to a CraftWarehouse, actually never even heard of it before you mentioned it. JessieG and I used to make an hour and half trip to Archivers in Fort Wayne once every few months but now they are closing the store this month! Love shopping online but gotta watch the shipping rates.

QOD: What are some blogs that you stalk for inspiration?

I don't follow too many blogs... I surf the net a lot and do find inspiration on a lot of blogs but I take a snapshot (via Snag It) and try to make my version of the creation.

I think I have a good inspiration for my partner's paint brush so planning on getting started this weekend. Yay!

The need to have buttons, like the thank button, that say like or lol. It is so true, some times I spend more time cruising for inspiration than I do creating. The nice thing is I follow the blogs so I can just glance at the dash board for anything that peeks my interest.

The easiest way is just to hover your mouse over the bottom right hand corner of peoples' post here on the mb and if they have their blog linked, a clickable button will appear that says BLOG. For example do it to Kelley's post up there ^^^

Also you could just go to Google and search craft blogs or if you're looking at someone's blog and go to the top sometimes there's a link for "next blog" or if you're on Pinterest a lot of the items instructions are on the designer's blog just click the picture until you get there HTH

Waves to MOgoggingirl! I got to go shopping today and got almost all of the supplies I need for your paint brush! All BUT the paint brush!!!!Blushing

QOD: I follow a lot of the ones already listed. I have gotten to the point where I have to re-organize by feed -- google reader is going away soon. I find that lately I am spending more time and have become addicted to Pintrest! All I can say is that is a time sync. I really should be crafting more. I have a crop next weekend and I haven't gotten anything ready for it!

QOD: How had your style and preferences change over the course of swapping?

When I first started I didn't even know what the styles were....LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL I had never really altered before doing the swaps. So when they asked what style, I didn't want to seem out of place so I would just put down what other people were asking for. Blushing I used to scrap and stamp before, so I would say I was more of a clean crafter - not so much simple sometimes as they might be elaborate. - Becky Higgins was my idol at the time.

Having various partners ask for different styles scared the crud out of me. I had no clue and didn't want to disappoint. I searched blogs and websites like crazy as well as looked at posted creations on the board to get ideas of the overall look. Overtime, I learned about the different styles and can really appreciate them all except cutesy. I think with branching out with all kinds of products and learning new techniques, I have come to really enjoy and love grunge and steampunk the most.

Scrap2Do I am getting closer to knowing what I want to do. I have been thinking about it all week. I pulled out the brush and some papers I was thinking of using and left them on my crafting table and would look at them every time I would walk by it. As I did this it gave me another idea and way to go! Now I know what I want to do.ThumpUp

My styles and preferences have changed in that I am more confident in what I do and I have learned what I like and what I don't like. I didn't know much about anything and I am learning more every day and loving it!BigGrin
