Melody - you are TOO funny posting that pic! Cute!

Let me see if I can post pictures of what I sent CraftySanSan.

Sandy had mentioned needing a Swap Journal so I borrowed page ideas from my books I've received from Candy and ChefKimmo to re-create for Sandy. I let the paper do the talking for the front cover (as I love the list of words that seem to tie in so nicely with rules of swapping) and did very little to the cover. So, this was super easy to make for her and not a lot of time involved so I then made her a junk journal too.

I only took pictures of the junk journal cover. The inside is fairly simple....just chose papers and colors I thought she would enjoy, added a pocket and tag to some of the pages, and then I did some stamping to several pages just to decorate it up. So super simple looking inside but hoping she will be able to use it to track her goals and gratitudes she originally requested as a theme for her junk journal. Or find inspiration by looking at the pretty papers and stamped verses....

This are all wonderful!!!!
I do have questions though. Are these bound pages or a notebook?

Gwynne's 2nd one looks like a notebook but then scrappydews looks bound.

Are these made with chipboard, covered and then pockets added?

How are they different from a mini album other than no picture mats?

Thanks

I only have a quick minute to type this....but...

My JJ arrived from Melody! OMG!!! Talk about a piece of art! You are all not going to believe this creation! It's amazing!

I will be back with pics probably this evening....

How the heck she came up with these ideas is beyond me! It's so cool!

BBL

Just as I told the kids they could go swimming after begging for 3 days....the mail lady showed back up at my door to drop off Melody's pkg. that she forgot to leave the first time! Had I known it was showing up, I would have told the kids NO SWIMMING yet! lol

Robin, Jessie has a health issue but I text her earlier and she did receive the journal today! And thank you for the tip on clearing history and cookies to see pictures, I knew it worked for logging in troubles but didn't think to try for picture troubles!

This JJ is 6x12 inches. and there are pockets and tags and such stuffed inside most of the pages. I haven't even had a chance yet to search thru all them so no pics of what is yet to be discovered.

Thank you so much Melody for a super interesting and very artistic Junk Journal! It's just a joy to look thru and study what all you did. I still need to spend more time on studying it.

(gosh my JJ was so simplistic....I see I need to up my game in the future! lol)

Well, my turn to show off Smile . I didn't understand the no dibbs thing, but being here a couple of months - I get it now and feel like I can use it correctly.LOL

NO DIBBS! I don't think the pictures do it justice because the paper she used has such lovely rich colors. It looks so elegant. I love the extra tags she made as well. The composition notebook is perfect because I want to store favorite quotes I come across. Here is my wonderful journal from scrappinmomma:

I agree they are all wonderful!!

To try and answer your questions - They are bound. A couple may be composition notebooks. I think most use a bind it all or some other way to bind their chipboard covers and added pages in and added pockets to some pages. I used an old book and took the pages out and made signatures and sewed them into the spine.

I think some are similar to mini albums but the idea is to have lots of space to journal in and to add in "junk", things that wouldn't normally make it into a mini.

nice journal Lori.

It's fun to have composition notebooks and other folders too on your desk that are altered and so fun to look at and fun to write in too. Puts a whole new spin on journaling or organizing our paperwork.

Was great idea to do a round of Junk Journals. Thanks Scrappy Dew and thanks to Kelley too for getting ScrappyDew to host these again this year.
