Hi Rita BigGrin

Hopefully I can craft all day tomorrow, and I can make a dent in a few swaps ... it's supposed to rain all day

Craft room is clean. Man I can really mess it up when working on a project. I get to the point where I cannot move my feet under the desk, have to step over stuff to get out the door and have a few inches of work space by the end of a swap. Fresh start, clean desk and ready to get moving on this.

This message is not to incite any drama. I need to put my hat here. This is a post to all. I host both short and longer swaps. I certainly understand if something out of the ordinary comes up in a smaller swap and due dates need to change or in some circumstances someone needs to drop. I can usually find an angel easily or do it myself. However it is more difficult in a larger swap as this one. These swaps are more time extensive and require more materials to create. To cancel two months into a swap is irresponsible and not fair to the person making for you as they most likely have time and money invested into the swap making it special for you. Extended due dates can be accommodated with communication, but to up and drop is unfair. If a person drops from one of these types of swaps past the half way mark (without an extenuating circumstance) will be listed as a flaker. I can deal with issues as they come up and I am extremely flexible and we can come up with alternatives.

Waving to my new partner Robin. Hello there lovely lady. Are you wanting to hang this on the wall? I am very excited to be making French Country for your kitchen, and am gathering your items for this swap. Your tray has compartments made from Home Depot paint sticks, but you would never know it as it blends perfectly with the original wood. I saw the same exact tray without the dividers I put in , on etsy . It was altered with collage pictures and sealed with a clear coat and was selling for $75.00 I think because the dividers are in yours, and there will be some 3 dimensional objects along with pictures, you could charge at least $100 for yours, should you decide to sell.LOL LOL LOL

COB, I do know why you have to laugh at this, so I think I had better explain. Ok everyone, COB is the only one on these boards, that because of her attention to detail, noticed the MISspelling of my username,(KAUI INSTEAD OF KAUAI )brought it to my attention, and I was able to correct it. Just today, in a pm, I thanked her for her attention to detail, and then I went and made Jean P the sole winner of the 2013 Attention to Detail Contest. And so I hope that Jean doesn't mind sharing the crown with COB because certainly, she deserves it too. LOL LOL LOLFlapper Razz Tongue BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin

This is the winner of last year's 2012 ATTENTION TO DETAIL CONTEST. She will be relinquishing her crown to this years winners, COB and JeanP. I will let you ladies work out the schedule for the sharing of this crown.

I am soooo jealous... So my plan for weekend was to clean my craftroom but some how I managed to clean every other room in the house EXCEPT my craftroom... and then made more of a mess as I had to finish up another swap... well there is always this weekend, LOL

Jean, that is hilarious

I read the fine print too - maybe it's not your fingers, cause they always do beautiful crafts just fine,so maybe you should take a spelling classLOL Flapper Love

And maybe the crown should be shared 3 ways, or with whomever notices the fine print too and says so. . .
