I haven't seen anywhere on this board where anyone is sharing their carts. I think many problems would arise in doing that, such as carts not getting returned, etc. There are enough problems with people buying carts from others and not getting their merchandise. I just don't think anything good would come from sharing your carts unless you know the person you are sharing with very, very well!

I share. My sister has a few of my carts. My scrappy friend from church has a few. And when I'm at a crop, I let anyone there use them. BigGrin

I use a Gypsy so I don't share. My actual carts are high on a shelf across the back of my scrapbook room and I would need to drag the ladder in from the garage, move things around in the room to set up the ladder, in order to retrieve them. I'm too old to be doing that! LOL LOL

I've loaned my niece about 10 of my carts and you can bet that every time I go to grab a cart it's one that she's borrowed. (She lives a 2 hour drive from me so I can't just pop over and get it!)

I bought her the Creative Sampler series recently and when I give that to her I'm taking my carts back! Flapper

I do not share mine! I loaned one & it took me months to get it back. When I go to crops, I use my Gypsy which has all of my carts linked to it.

I try to share, but you do have to make sure you get them back. I am very selective about who borrows them. I bought some extras at low prices and keep those in my Sunday School room for people at church to use.

Good luck to all who try and share,

Penny

DITTO!!! I would never share my carts through the mail. If you are talking about needing cuts from certain carts the people on the board are very helpful in cutting things for others.

I only know one person in my area who scrapbooks.....my DSIL. She bought a CRICUT about three years ago and only has fifteen or so cartridges to my sixty. I have offered to let her use any of mine she would like to use. Lucky for me, though, she has never asked to borrow any of them (well, she did when she first got her machine, but she got them back to me within a few weeks). We live in the same town.

I would NEVER let anyone borrow them that I didn't know really, really well, either.

I think my DSIL decided that it's not that great an idea to borrow them after she found out how much they cost. She scrapbooks her three granddaughters, so that's all she uses the images for and I think she has made wise choices in her findings.

I don't go to crops.....could never stand the pressure of being at one and letting others use my machines and my cartridges.

Otherwise, in my life, I am a very giving, loving, caring person!!

I don't share my carts with anyone other than my daughter. She has a Cricut and my other daughter lives nearby and just comes over and used my machine. Now I have to use the carts as they haven't linked the Gypsy yet if I use CCR. And I don't like that at all.Sometimes I have free time at work and design there but then have the hassel of doing the carts... Most of the time I use my Gypsy Woman.

I have let a few people use a cart for a weekend, but that's about it. Mine are stored away as I use my Gypsy. I prefer to keep my carts in my hands but anyone is welcome to come over or can request for me to cut something out for them.

I would go over to her place and get them! We all know how expensive they can be. And it always amazes me when friends do this to their friends.Huh

I only with my sister and that's because I know she is responsible and reliable. I let other people use a cart if I am around like at a crop but never for them to take home. I don't know why but I am the same way about my books...

I loaned two to the religious education director at church to do bulletin boards at the beginning of the school year. I have not gotten them back yet. When I do, you can bet I will NOT loan them again. I do use my G all the time, but whenever I see those two "holes" in my shelves full of carts, I get an ache in my stomach. I have no friends locally who Cricut.

I have so many carts it would be greedy not to share. Having said that I am very selective about sharing and so far no problem getting them back. I have about 350+++ carts. My daughter had about 150 cartsand she is now moving in with me. needless to say I asked what she intends to do with her carts since we will be sharing. Well she "gave them all away". End of story.
