Bingolady...thanks for the wonderful sketches. We can see them perfectly. Your card #1 is very pretty. The ribbon works well with the colors in the patterned paper, which is very lovely with all the pretty colors. I love the #2 card. The embossing strip looks very nice as does the letters. How did you make them? It looks like a card for someone special!

Dee thanks for colors, the letters are from Elegant cake cart, and I cut
the strips with the paper cutter then I used my embossing strips to emboss them.
Thank you

Bella , so nice to have you join us with your wonderful cards.

Bella don't worry as long as you use the colors on one of the sketches. They are
there to use if you would like to use them. It helps me alot to pick the colors
to match. Hope to see some more cards.BigGrin BigGrin

Here is another extra credit card - my daughter asked me to make a card for a co-worker of hers that just retired.
Papers from K&Company stack
Table - French Manor
Cup of tea - A Child's Year

The lamp and table are CTMH stamps that I cut out by hand.

OK not to go and work on the sketches

Hi...I've been out most of today but got this card finished and finally took a photo of it. The colors don't show up as well as I would have liked. I dabbed a cream color ink on the Spellbinder Die, but you can't tell. You can see the darker color distressed edges, but not the cream. I finally got the Chicken Wire Cuddlebug folder and really like it. The paper, ribbon, buttons and hemp cord are all from my stash. The chicken stamp I've had for ages, and I think it was a $1 one from Michaels.

This is Sketch #1 and the Ad Colors.

I have another one almost finished.....but it needs to be "saved." It's had a few "accidents." LOL

Thanks,

Dee

I'm back with my comments that I didn't get to post earlier.

Bella Bug...Very pretty blue & white card. You can use the Ad Colors if you want too, but some weeks I don't even get to use them and I post them! LOL.

Donna...Wonderful news about your granddaughter's graduation. The cow card is very unique and Emma's mom should love it. The inside is also very cute. That's a beautiful retirement card. Great choice of cuts, colors, and paper.

JD...Have fun babysitting!

Shelbywoo....I'm so sorry to hear about the death in your family. I know you'll join us when you have the time.

Here's the other card I finished. I guess it's the extra credit, as I made it for my niece who is expecting her second baby and has been SICK/throwing-up the entire time. The baby is due in about a month.

Here's my tale of "woe" pertaining to this card. The embossing is a new one that I just got and I thought I was using the kind of paper that you can sand and see the white. I had visions of white clouds floating in the blue sky. Then...I went to color the image....a smaller one than I ended up using....and my "just-filled" Copic pen dripped out all over the cut. Glare It also did on the second image, but I was able to save it....I think. Then...I went to test the color pink and inadvertently marked on the edge of the cut. So instead of just running it along the edge....I had to make it pretty thick. I didn't like how that looked so I grabbed another pen and just dabbed around the edge to soften it a little. I still thought it needed something, and I ended up putting some white ink on the clouds. I guess I bought the ink and hadn't used it yet. All in all, it doesn't look as bad as it could have!!! LOL.

TFL,

Dee

This is my take on sketch #1, although I don't have any charcoal gray card stock so had to do with what I had. Smile

It's the first time I ever used my little cat stamp & I really like it & the background print on the cardstock reminded me of cat eyes {sort of}.

Great cards so far everyone, hope to be back later to comment, trying to get some things done in my craft room.

Here is my sketch #1. The background paper was a pattern I found while I was Googling for something but I liked it so much I saved it and printed it on glossy photo paper. The lines going through it are my fault because when I printed it I forgot to change the settings on the printer to let it know it was glossy paper, but I think it is fine with them in there. It is so so vibrant in person.

The label is cut from Art Philosophy and the happy birthday is doing using sketch pens and the Calligraphy Collection cartridge.

The happy birthday banner is cut using Artiste cartridge then stamped with a
CTMH stamp. Blue panel is cuttlebugged with the happy birthday folder. Arrows are stamped then hand cut out TFL
