I just wanted to share my TP album I did a couple years ago for my son and I had a blast doing it. Was too chicken to join as it took me a very long time to decide on papers and stuff. I am bad at that. But I thought it might help with ideas on yours. http://marjisstuff.blogs...om/2011/03/tp-album.html is the album http://marjisstuff.blogs...03/tp-album-inserts.html is the inserts. I had fun with this and cant wait to see what you all create. It is a very fun project. I did mine on my pups for my son who is away and missing his pups.

Oh dear Melody.....what are we going to do with you ???!!!LOL Love

By the way, I figure if you use your steam iron to iron them nice and flat before covering, then they are in essence "sterilized" so you don't have to worry that they were in someone's bathroom. ThumpUp Razz

BIG WAVES to MissStamper ! I finally got some neat travel ideas for your book...should be fun and colorful !

Y'all are cracking me up! If only I still had a toddler at home to take the end of the toilet paper and run through the house! That always used up a roll in no time!

I picked out the embellishments and some of the paper for my mini. Now I just need the time. Right now my table is full of decotape waiting for me to photograph for my Etsy shop. Tedious work, but I cannot sell it if I don't list it.

Just remembered a tip about these that I wanted to share. Found this on youtube I think. If you put your folded rolls through your cuttlebug (or?), they come out nice and flat. I tried this once, and it really does work.

MissStamper - I will be looking at your decotape - is that the same as Washi tape ? Is that what is on your avatar pic ? THey look very colorful and cute !
I found a really cute travel themed paper stack that I am going to use for you...something a little different than I have done before. You might get a sneaky peek or 2 soon...Tongue

You all are right about learning things here. I just was checking in and read the posts and I ran my TP rolls through my BIG SHOT and they came out so nice and flat. Now, I am much more pleased with how my pages are going to look. I didn't like how bulky and lumpy my sample came out the first time. So, thanks for the tip -- it really was a good one.

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.

Ugh - I took well over 100 photographs yesterday afternoon and for reasons unknown to me, they all have a yellowish or pinkish hue. Of course, it wasn't obvious when I was taking them, but really showed when I loaded them onto my computer. So today I will modify my lightbox and try again. Ugh! My DD has State Music Festival on Friday, outdoor market season starts in two weeks, and said DD graduates in three weeks! I really don't have time for mishaps like this! Okay, vent over. Now I can tackle my first project for the day.

Oh, wait, back to decotape: It is a plastic tape about the same thickness as plain tape, but it is more durable. It comes in many different widths and lengths (check the individual listing descriptions). It can be used almost anywhere you would use regular tape. Keep your regular office tape dispenser filled with a small roll, the size sold in the Mystery Bags. Use it on cards, journals, lunch bags, and just about any paper craft. Wrap a fun piece around a plain water bottle just for the fun of it. Decorate a mirror or glass display piece with it. On a surface like plastic or glass, you can place it and then reposition it if you want to change it.

Kathleen - the pix I saw on your etsy shop look fine to me ! I love the decotape...especially the one with the "around the world" motif because of the Eiffel tower. Do you have more than one of those ? It sounds like I can use it for package tape...Is there like 10 yards on a roll ?
Will be ordering some anyhow...really cute designs !

Quite a few of the new ones have a Paris theme. I will let you know when I get some of them listed. They are the 15m rolls and are about the same width as regular scotch tape.

Have a great week y'all. I am hoping to find some crafting time soon. :)

My album is shaping up.....my pages are covered and I'm happy with my cover. I started this one because it is so different from any thing I've ever done. I wanted to make sure I gave myself enough room to mess up. So far, so good. But I'm sure it's coming.....

I wanted to join your giant tag swap but with my son getting hurt at school I didn't want to fall behind, wasn't sure how things would go with his knee come to find out he does need knee surgery and I wish I signed up for more swaps helps me get the sour taste out of my mouth by keeping busy, I will be stuck at home for two weeks after may 9th when he goes in for surgery ): I thought I made a toilet paper roll mini album before come to find out I never made one lol this was my first mini out of toilet paper rolls. I do want to keep my mini LOL I'm sure my partner wouldn't mind HAHAHA KIDDING! I need to mail it to my partner before I change my mind or one of my friends decide to take it home.

Hi LAdies ! Just an "after-thought" for something additional if you want to do it...
It would be wonderful if you created some type of a "holder" for the mini album....A coordinated box or envelope or whatever you wish to do.
I thought of something last night that I wanted to make as a container for the album I am making which will also help to protect it and all the embellishments on the front too..
Happy Crafting !! Love
